Arduino Synth...worth the effort?

hello all,

i am interested in build a couple of noise boxes to use on stage, perhaps in studio as well. i was looking into using the Arduino Uno and the Mozzi(?) sound library.

does anyone have any experience with this?

i just want to build one or two simple FM or osc-and-filter boxes with a few knobs to tweak frequency, amplitude, etc.

any advice or anecdotes are greatly appreciated.

I've got an arduino uno to play frequencies which I arranged into bloody tears from castlevania. I've only used it a couple of times, but your probably going to need some sophisticated code to do anything beyond that.
