Pulsing Kick-Bass/ Will Sparks/ Melbourne

was wondering if anyone could shed some light on how to get the awesome pulsing kick-bass synth that is used by producers like will sparks, J-trick, TJR and other melbourne underground producers. its a sound that is becoming very popular in australia at the moment, most producers seem to focus on the lead synth, but i feel most of the energy comes from the pulsing bass/sub-bass. so far i've only managed to create a pluck sound but it doesn't have the energy im looking for.

A good example would be will Sparks - Ah Yea @ 0:35.
