Audio out & MIDI in/out, digitally, on an iPad4 (to PC)?

Is there a hardware device that will give me audio out, and MIDI in and out, through an iPad4s' Lightning connector?
I've given up on using the iPad as a sketchpad and would like to use it as a hardware synth engine for Wolfgang Palm's wonderful Synth apps to a PC daw. Is this possible and keep it all in the digital domain, and have low latency?

Freck....
Now that i'm getting the hang of working with the ipad Iwant to connect to more pro-audio rather then the 3.5 cable.
I see there's midi only plugs, but is there really nothing decent for pro-audio output for the ipad4?????????

Well, Thomann has them listed as "soon to arrive" at least:
http://www.thomann.de/gb/iconnect.html
iConnect Midi 2+, 85 euro (GBP 69.74), shipment due to arrive 5 July 2013
iConnect Midi 4+, 219 euro (GBP 180.29), shipment due to arrive 19 July 2013
Now we just have to hope the dates are accurate.
Cheers,
Trahast

Why recommend the iConnectMIDI, it doesn't have audio in/out like the topicstarter stated.
I have a iPad4 as well and want a audio interface with lightning connector, audio in/out (24bits), MIDI, charges the device and not too expensive ( less then 200 euros ).

Sort of. It isnt what many people would consider a "real" interface as there are no external audio inputs, but it does seem to meet the OP's needs.BiancaNeve wrote:That's what the plus in iconnect midi 2+ is ....audio

Apogee's USB interfaces work with the iPad. I have the Alesis io4, which does the job. The preamps get hissy at the top of their range but I've never had to get close to that. Headphone output is definitely hissy, however the 4 line outputs don't exhibit the same hiss. I use it to record to various programs, also as a bass input onstage with jamup pro xt, and as a midi interface. Only downside is that it requires the use of a power adapter, so it's not truly "mobile," but I have used it in the car with a power inverter. It also works on Mac and pc, and was pretty cheap on amazon. Well worth it. Definitely not an apogee but plenty adequate for my needs and budget.

Via the USB port. It's class compliant, so I think it just shows up as an audio device on whatever computer it's attached to. If you don't need audio in, this will be an excellent solution for MIDI/audio.XGmode wrote:Where, below the device? Additional physical in/out would have been awesome, but this will do fine as well. Do wonder about the quality tho.ZenPunkHippy wrote: Via the USB port. The quality of the device or the quality of the audio? The audio will be digital, so it should be 1:1 perfect as there won't be a DAC stage.XGmode wrote:Additional physical in/out would have been awesome, but this will do fine as well. Do wonder about the quality tho.
The device itself? I have the v1 original and it's built like a tank. Does exactly what it says it will do, has worked flawlessly from the first day.

Andy.
