I don't like this idea.

I'd rather have a soundcloud comment community.

Let's say when you comment on my track... meaningful comments, I comment back. Be honest, open, and helpful. We can get many more comments this way.

Anyone up? I can start a new thread perhaps or we can change this one.

I can't keep track of too many people I follow, and don't want to just randomly follow really.

Have a great day! :)

This sounds like a good idea to me :-)

In the past, I would have agreed. Music is not about this...

But, music promotion is a numbers game in some ways, and there's certain things where people will only give you a look in if you have a massive number next to your name. And, so many artists are doing this. It's become a big game to exchange sound cloud follows with every single person you meet. How can you compete number wise with that?

Anyway, totally agree on the meaningful comments thing. After a few days I'm going to review all the follows and add positive comments to all the tracks that I've enjoyed listening to.

This thread has already proved to me that this was a good exercise because we've already gotten engaged with each other's music and there can't really be anything wrong with that.

Haha thanks for the promo, man! The choirs are just from EastWest's cheapest orchestra library, Symphonic Orchestra Silver. The silver version comes with some limited choirs, including a "staccato Ah" patch.

Sometimes in a month I'll just listen to soundcloud songs at random for a few hours and do very meaningful honest comments... sometimes I might ask for some EQ - but only on tracks obviously made by new producers. It's quite fun and a rare gem can be found.
