How good are G-Sonique plugins?

They have summer sale, and really cheap prices. So I thought about buying one of them.
Unfortunately I don't have the time to demo all of them. Maybe y'all could help me. Which ones do you use and which ones can you recommend?
Is there a must-have, a plugin that is extraordinary good? A certain plugin of them that you use on every project?

I remember demoing their Renegade synth, and I found it to be quite good. Unfortunately I had HD crash soon after and didn't came back to it since then. That's probably because even though Renegade is quite good, I have already enough of similar sounding synths.
PS: Just noticed that you asked about effects. Never tried any of their effects unfortunately.

Wonder whether my advice worth a penny? Check my music at Soundcloud and decide for yourself.

I can only speak of the Pultronic, and that thing is good.
Sad thing, still Windows only, and still undocumented. But I like the idea to have more control over the tube stages on both input and output.

Is it a Pultec EQ emulation (at least it looks alike)? How good is it compared to other (inexpensive) Pultec EQ emulations?Compyfox wrote:I can only speak of the Pultronic, and that thing is good.

Bought their transient plugin along with Alien303 (which is a nice little bass synth), but compared to freeware even(such as bittersweet) it really falls short imo, never used it in a project.
No idea about the quality of the rest of their effect plugins, but they do offer demo's, so I suggest checking them out for yourself.

They are pretty nice. Just keep in mind they are SE so in case you have and use a fast bounce/render/export option like in Sonar, it will not play nicely at 88.2 and higher sampling rates.

They are quite good, however AFAIK they only offer 32-bit versions.
I'd buy their plugins if they made 64-bit versions too. But I don't know if that's ever going to happen.

SE, really? I thought they rather look like Synthmaker GUI's... But that wouldn't hinder me to buy one of them. It's more important what's under the hood (GUI)...TMaudio wrote:They are pretty nice. Twisthead and Pultronic are pretty good. Renegade is OK - it has nice saturation, but weak modulation options. You can't even detune the three oscillators at inervals (?!). Overall a resounding "pretty good".

It is based on a Pultec design, yes. Probably from a Pultec they had at their disposal while coding that plugin.Tricky-Loops wrote:Is it a Pultec EQ emulation (at least it looks alike)?

You have control over the input and output tubes for once. But you can also change how much saturation is added to the signal chain (coloring).
It's also a mix of the Pultec EQP-1A and the 5A add on module. So it's not quite your usual clone.
One warning though:
Since there is no manual available, you need to take a listen. I'm not using it as much as I should. But if I reach for it, I take my time and listen closely what it's doing to the signal. This is no transparent EQ - hell no. And it wasn't planned as that either.
I only wish they developed it further, or other developers would have picked up the idea to switch out parts of a module.
Oh, and these plugins are SynthMaker Shell with Custom Code. So Windows only. And it can be quite CPU heavy - though not anymore with modern rigs.

Thanks so far! So they seem to have at least good saturation algorithms... I will test the demo of Pultronic & Twisthead on the weekend!
Does anyone have experiences with their stereo & M/S processing plugins?

They aren't great, okay at best and made from Synth Edit so if you need x64, Mac, RTAS or AAX then look elsewhere.

SynthMAKER with custom code, not SynthEdit!
