and tom ( just a higher pitch kick )

Good question!
I like when each part allows to make sounds that are not exactly what they say, like when the kick can sound like something else, etc etc. Just because automating parameters therefore allows to move slowly from abstract to electronic drums. Really often parameters are being limited in a way that prevent form doing anithing else that what it is meant to be.

More than that well the big question is sequencer or not I believe, and it's just taste I think.

I never use any kind of master effect on drum synth, I have other FX I know and trust for that.

Separate outs is a good thing too.

If there is a sequencer then I would go all the way and have modulation matrice, sources and targets, a lot of both, so that I wouldn't have to do that in the host and it could be saved and recalled.

Ah and labelling the parameters clearly so that when appear a list of 354 parameters we have a way to find quickly "KICK tune 2 decay time" or whatever.

Ill work on that one to Promise But lost a lot of knowledge after 4 years So i have to learn some things again.I'm now building a drum synth
