Hey guys!

Have been a long reader of the forum and just decided to create an account today! Keep up the good work

My first question is about a sample pack that I have seen in many of the Future Producer 'In Studo With' movies, and some random studio videos on Youtube. The pack is called something along the lines of _MACOSX, but seems in the linked picture to be placed in a parent folder called something about "remix"?

The linked picture is from the Avicii in studio with, and i'm looking for this pack. I can see the samples are called something like "Norralead" or "Normalized", but it is hard for me to identify enough to locate the actual pack. Some of the samples are called Tom Hit, Whitenoise and Cow Bell. Maybe that could help someone of you a bit?

Have anyone gotten this sample pack or know were to get it?

It reads "white noise-normalised -3db part 1, part 2" etc .. I haven't seen such samples in any pack and the names suggest that these are home made samples. I might be wrong tho but I am quite certain they are home made... Anyway, what's so special about these white noise samples, you can make roll your own and it'll be better

Btw. directory _MACOSX means that the pack comes from OS X, it's not name of the pack ..

NOw that I look more closely it seems that it's some sort of remix kit .. Maybe Avicii got these samples when he was doing remix for somebody .. There's even some names called 'stems' etc that strongly suggest it's remix pack.

When you say that I might understand the whole thing a bit better.

Have the basic knowledge of the noise functions of all the synths i use, but could be interesting to hear some of the other samples in there as well.

Guess the VSTs are the way to go maybe? With the better control of the sample et all? Thanks for your help

Just discovered the secret. Took ALOT of research! haha but it is in fact a sample... not from any pack though

The post to end all posts: The short sweep is an FX sample from an old Thomas Penton pack (google it) and the long riser was made by another producer back in 2009 and when Avicii remixed this guy's track (also in 2009) he took it from the remix parts and used it ever since. Please don't PM to send you any of these files. I gave you guys the key, now you open the door

It says "the cut - 40 miles (parts)", I found out Avicii did a remix of the cut's song better days, is this the same song, but different name?

Does anyone know if there is still a working link to those remix parts?

What is so special about these noise files ? Isn't a noise generator and few fx/modulations able to reproduce anything u would need ?

There are also files called Rise-up Normalised-1 & 2, which are commonly used in his songs too... I really want to know how he got this pack too!!!

Pretty sure these samples come from The Cut - Better Days.. but I can't find the remix stems..
If someone have these stems, I'm (we) are very interested in it. Hope someone can help us
