Well, anyway now the price is back at €399

I think most users who got it for €99/$99 are well chuffed :)

Ok, sale is over... I hope the next sale is either Battery 4 or Reverb Classics.

+1

Absolutely, nearly got my first synth finished. Enjoying the hell out of it, but it just eats up all my time :hihi:

Yup, remember to take breaks from building to actually make some music. One of the benefits of toggling the play mode introduced in a recent update is, it keeps you from drilling down into the structure to make "just one more change" ;-)

Post

Actually, I now realized that I need to make a structure to begin with... You've never in your life seen such a mess. :hihi:
Lesson one learned I guess ;)

Knowing how to keep things neat and when to chuck a bunch of modules into a macro is an instinct that comes with time. If you want to see some neat internal structure look up Florian Erdle in the user library. His Reaktor building style looks like art. (his GUI design is great too!) (and the sounds also, of course)

Ctrl x/ctrl c (cut/paste) are your FRIENDS.

Also, learn to make your own macros very soon. A few general purpose macros will make your life a lot easier.

Isn't it fun? It's even fun to make ERRORS. Because you can't break nuthin.

Yeah, Reaktor is such a blast. I think the Core modules are a bit too much for me, but I'm getting my way around the modules pretty good I think.
It has been mentioned here before, but I'd like to emphasise it, Reaktor is also great as an effect. And because wiring effects is generally much easier than instruments (that is, until you start implementing sequencers and such), it's a very easy and capable multi effects unit. With feedback to your hearts content! I hear people talking H3000, but eeehm, this is another level.

Strangely enough btw, the copy/paste shortcuts don't seem to work on my systeem. Will have to look into that.

Wow. $18 seems a great deal. I'm watching some of their other tutorials. Also, salamanderanagram does some great ensembles, like Optimus Prime (I think he's the one behind the masterclass).

My 6th day with Reaktor. The boscomac ensembles alone are giving me fun times. So much inspiration to find overall and I didn't even check the user library that much, beside 10 minutes and random downloading. Not sure I ever will create own stuff, but I already modified some ensembles and like already mentioned, created some multi-effect chains. Getting down to the core cells level will seriously take a while. ;) So far, Reaktor remains one of my best purchases ever.

I knew that ;) I found out that the shortcuts don't work when using Reaktor as a plugin in Live (on OS X). In standalone mode the shortcuts do work. Oh well...
