I am using an external audio interface and MIDI keyboard through the camera connection kit. I would like to perform on synth while playing a backing track on the iPad. For example, through iTunes. The problem is that there is no volume control in this configuration for playing the backing track. I assume you are supposed to use the external volume on the audio interface. The problem is that the backing track is way louder than the synth. Some synths have volume control, but I still can't get it high enough to cut through the music. Is there a way to adjust the backing track volume so I can get a proper mix?
Thanks,
Wildzeke

There are several apps that let you play iTunes files through audiobus, perhaps that would do what you want? There's also the jam player in jamup which will do it.

The iTunes songs library volume is a separate volume than the devices volume control. Just go to your, "now playing" screen and use the slider at the bottom of the screen to adjust the song volume.

I tried that and did not see a volume slider. But I found an app to suit my needs. Stage Traxx allows me to create playlists and has an song volume slider that works.martygras wrote:The iTunes songs library volume is a separate volume than the devices volume control. There is a free version that allows up to 5 songs in the play list.
