Quite different beasts IMHO, both goodFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Once rumors of this started floating around, my desire to checkout Lush 101 completely subsided. I probably wouldn't have bought it anyway, but I didn't feel the need at all knowing we'd have a new TAL-101 on the way. Glad I did. At $40, this will be an insta-buy. That seems to be the perfect plugin price for me, where if it's a cool product, from a developer I trust, I feel comfortable buying, oftentimes without demoing.
Looking forward to this release...
Might need to checkout Mux again soon too.

In early testing they were similar, but he improved them alot after various comparisons/tests. Unfortunately, due to other commitments i havent had much time with newer versions.himalaya wrote:I found Strobe to be the closet match so far. Although, the parameters do not match those of a real Sh101, so it will be very useful to have an SH emu which gets the parameter ranges correct.Kriminal wrote:
you can produce 3 diff osc sounds at once in the 101. Up until now, i havent heard a single soft synth that sounds like it (or as good as it IMO) for bouncy bassline. TAL have done an amazing job, keeping the original flavour but also adding a few modern twists. A pleasure to work with too, he actually listens

Don't forget the mythical Military Green as well!
TAL nails it enough for me. Yes, it's pretty close to what we used to use. We used them several times.
Who cares. TAL Dub?
This is one company I am ashamed to say, I haven't contributed to yet.
I'm thinking a 20 dollars at least, for these fine fellows.
If they charged 400 dollars and didn't do 'demos', slutz would be wetting themselves.
This is one very clever coding company.
I use their delay and reverb far too much. I really must give them some beer money at least.
