I get the same in Logic - no effect till I switch the A/B switch twice.
Also envelopes are not working for me - eg env 1 is not affecting the cutoff - it works if I manually press the trigger button

I noticed this to. Workaround for me was to hit the A/B switch twice before Drop started affecting signal.

Thanks for the bug report and workaround, I'll have a look into it, should be something basic I missed since I did most of my testing on Mac for this release.

Cascade SH lowpass sounds SO GOOD

This thing is so nice to add a little drive and saturation to vocals, lately I've been using this instead of Decapitator

Right now I have this beautiful effect on a vocal using the LP+HP Spread(Spacing)


I have the Drop on a send100% wet

Low Pass and High Pass activated, Low Pass around 10kHz and High Pass 150 kHz
Add desired amount of resonance

Boost the pre gain 8Db and compensate by lowering the Post gain
Add lots of drive to get a nice crunchy sound

Turn the LP+HP spread left to about -57 st

Now add eq in the send after the Drop to take out some lows and highs, not too much
Also after the eq add a chorus effect(I'm using ubermod) and a nice tape echo(ubermod)

Now send some of the signal of the send where you have the Drop to a reverb

Hi All. I found a startup bug in the new control smoothing code, all fixed and a new build is on the way immediately, rebooting to do the windows build now. This bug is on all platforms when you make a new instance of The Drop.

• New: Cascade and Cascade SH low pass, Cascade high pass (Cascade SH high pass needs more work)
• New: Increased maximum possible resonance
• New: increased snap to zero range on modulation depth knobs
• New: updated smoothing algorithm to be more responsive to small quick movements
• Fixed: Updated to the most recent version of the Juce framework for various bug fixes and greater compatibility
• Fixed: Startup bug introduced in v0.9.12 that set all control values to zero on inserting a new instance of the plugin

Really cool! Seems that the site is under heavy load or something, takes ages to load, and actually now says that it's off-line

Yep the server was being hammered. I called my web hosting guys and we made some changes, so hopefully the load should be lower now and more people can grab their downloads. If you had a timeout please try again now.

The changes to the old server didn't help with the load, so the web page got taken down again by my web hosting people. Time to take the plunge and switch over to a new server, the web page will be down for a bit longer while the switch is made but hopefully after this it will be fixed for high load situations in the future.
