Top Octave Divider String Machine is also unique. As the *Analog Human* ... voices. You can hear the strings in countless glorious tracks.

Intro price period is ending on June 31 Breakmixer. No need to haste, but it might be better to keep the date in mindbreakmixer wrote:nice, defo get this plug end of month...
I'm waiting for the end of the month financially, I'm so busy with work atm no time for music, but I just got to have this plug - most awesome release this year so far IMO.Lotuzia wrote:Intro price period is ending on June 31 Breakmixer. June 31? Really? We don't need to hurry, thenLotuzia wrote:

I'm wondering if the original Roland was used by Twilight 22 on Electric Kingdom,
Vocoder and male vocal(not the rapping) sounds, could it be?
Cheers Laurent, what about 3:03 is that a VP sound, kinda of male choir sound layered with a string...? They where the male vocal sound I was really refering to...Lotuzia wrote:As for the track, yes I'd say there are 99% chances its a VP, and not only for the Vocoder male vocals, but also ....... for the Strings soundsbreakmixer wrote:

Hi el-folieel-folie wrote:Dear XILS Lab,
I know it might be too early for some requests but just to let you know:
This morning I compared V+ to the VP-330MKI hardware and overall it's a pretty convincing emulation. But as always there are some smaller/unimportant differences like between two hardware units/different calibrations but also one big difference so far which I think is very important for a spot on emulation.
The attack envelope in the human voice section behaves differently on the hardware. On V+ it's like a normal attack time stage like on the strings section. On the hardware the attack slider in the human voice section seems to be part of a complete envelope that forms an attack at the beginning + a fixed decay stage and the volume falls back on a lower sustain level than it begins with when pressing a key. Of course this behaviour is monophonic and so, when you hold a chord or some notes in the lower octaves and play some notes in the higher octaves those higher notes are significantly quieter (as the lower sustain level is being held). This makes a big difference in sound and playing style so I think it should be noted for the next update. I remember this behaviour also from a Solina String Ensemble I once had.
Also this attack/decay behaviour is crucial for the gnarling human voice sound in the lowest notes, so I'd be glad if this would be emulated. I already used the mod envelope to form the special attack/decay but as it's polyphonic only (a mono switch would be nice here) you don't get the same result when playing (every new note triggers the V+ mod envelope), and also you have to route the mod envelope to every human voice tone independently which occupies 4 modulation slots, so it's not a good workaround.
Additionally it would be nice to have the formant controls of the human voice section as modulation destinations as the low gnarling/woody sound starts at a lower formant and shifts up a bit with keyboard position in the lowest octave. In case you need audio examples or think that my VP330 is broken, please let me know![]()
Oh and when I'm at it - it would also be nice to have direct control over the ensemble effect speeds and bucket brigade low pass filter (like a brilliance control) as they also differ from hardware machine to hardware machine.
I know these are a number of requests but I'm just crazy about the VP/V+ and would like it to become as close as possible to the hardware.
That said I already love V+! I managed to get the strings spot on to the hardware... Thanks a ton!!!
Thanks electro, electro wrote:A VP330 really well done and this fixes what little the 1.0 release missed. So far XILS V+ is the VSTI favorite of 2013.
I only installed today - that is the version - I'm going to try 1.01 now to see if that works...electro wrote:Try the latest version of 1.02 dated June 30
Are you able to try a 64bit version of Cubase?breakmixer wrote:I only installed today - that is the version - I'm going to try 1.01 now to see if that works...electro wrote:Try the latest version of 1.02 dated June 30
