I don't hear an obvious "flute with great fat vibrato" in that clip, where is it?
I also suspect that most of the sounds on that clip were not in fact generated by VSTs, although you might still find a VST that comes close.

From 0:23 onwards? Sounds like a cross between a flute and an oboe. Try layering an alto flute and an oboe. The trick is to use the low register of the flute.

Victor.

I don't hear any particularly fat vibrato there - that's what threw me. Hard to say, sounds more like a clarinet than an oboe, but layered with the strings. Might even be a soprano sax.

its from 23 seconds yes.
I think its a oboe.

I have tried edirol, sampletank but its not even close to that sound.
Any vst ro recommend ?

Disregard this found something better.

Try the ME80. It's an emulation of the CS80. Preset Sad Sally sounds close.

If I remember correctly Vangelis hired quite a few "ethnic" musicians when recording this album so I would guess most (if not all) of flutes are natural.

Vangelis has used that Oboe for a long time.
Its in the bounty.
I think you can hear the same on in this video at 1.58

I'm looking forward to Journey to Ithaka. Should be interesting. Hope it doesn't get cancelled!
