Getting back to the plug-in a bit, just wanted to say that I am really enjoying Chipcrusher immensely! One thing I am maybe looking for is some more subtle background noise samples for example from Amigas sound output etc ...
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

actually for presets like the Arcade cabinet one it's amazing that if you close your eyes it's really like standing in front of one. Great spacial effect!

yes, for me it is. Whilst many plugins do consist only of a single .dll, there are equally many which dont, and of those that dont, they usually requite manual intervention to fit the organisational scheme i prefer. ironically from the 'installers are bad' point of view that this conversation includes, its the plugins with complex installers which generally need the least post-install intervention, and the 'just unzip this folder in your plugin directory' type which are seen as 'good' which always need that intervention.camsr wrote:While this will solve the problem of a totalitarian installer, ask yourself if it's necessary.whyterabbyt wrote:
And of course its not as though we dont have junction points and symbolic links, which is what sensible folk who want to rearrange and mess the hell of the the nice developers's intentions for their plugins in order to suit our own preferred arrangements without breaking anything can use.
For me. Mileages vary, which is the point.

And here's some behind the scenes on that:hanzo wrote:actually for presets like the Arcade cabinet one it's amazing that if you close your eyes it's really like standing in front of one. Great spacial effect!

David, one little moment - please, make more range for background pitch change, I just ran into a situation where need a little bit more, value "400" it does seem no cover a full octave. This can be done?

Pitch shifting a sample by an octave sounds usually pretty bad. In this case lots of high frequency whines which exists in the source recordings - since they were captured at 96kHz - starts to get into audible land, which will sometimes jump at you unexpectedly.c_voltage wrote:David, one little moment - please, make more range for background pitch change, I just ran into a situation where need a little bit more, value "400" it does seem no cover a full octave. Thats why I've decided to limit it to +-400. You could tweak both the UI files and the bank files to increase the range, but it would make your version incompatible with others.

David I do not mind the dramatic result (loss of some frequencies) with a significant lowering of pitch. Of course preferences originate from ideas, music style. In this sense, i can accept such a move. Version with editing the file directly, I also was admit. But it would be easier to regulate.
Of course this is not critical. If this is contrary to the concept of the plugin or any other inconveniences (technical etc) then do not change it.

Hi just came here to see but its such a long thread...if there are any plans to add a dry/wet parameter in the DAC section? This plugin sounds excellent but in reality I kind of need to have a fine control to add in small amounts of crunch...hope sodavidv@plogue wrote:Pitch shifting a sample by an octave sounds usually pretty bad. Perhaps in a point revision, though at the moment I'm pretty busy with the AAX Native 64 version.analoguesamples909 wrote: Hi just came here to see but its such a long thread...if there are any plans to add a dry/wet parameter in the DAC section?
