Hmmm, strange. It has always worked for me. Maybe try a different browser? :shrug: I'm using Chrome. I had to go back and try it myself just to make sure it works even though I know it does. :hihi:

It should be blue, say 'following', and when you click it goes back to white and says 'follow'.
I was trying with the Android app earlier with no luck. Just tried it now with Firefox and it works. Cheers.

Well guess I'm rebel. Is that what this is about? Just following people for the numbers? I never understood why people did this, it gives me no satisfaction to think that most of my fans are made of people who don't even listen to my music - who might not even enjoy.
They follow me and expect me to listen while I doubt they'll listen.

I listened to the tracks in the OP and liked some of them - but I listened to 70% of that entire list to gauge if it's an artist I would follow. There were some okay tracks but in general not my cup of tea, so I'm not following them. I would hope everyone else can give me the same respect by trying my music before deciding whether you want to follow me or not.
This is kinda arrogant, it's like being an old lady not going out for dates but still looking for "the one" - why not give a chance and participate in the general idea of this thread? Do you have to inspect your "fans" one by one to approve them? come on.....
I will gladly add 10 people just for the chance 1 of them will really like my music, this is the best way to gather fans, you can't be picky. Plus, say you added someone who is not truly a fan of your music, but someone on *his* list, was able to discover your great music through this friend?

Bottom line, you can't be picky, prior to having fans, you have to find a way to reach listeners and you won't know in advance who will like your music and who won't.
An old lady? Come on, so he wants some legit followers. Nothing arrogant about that. 8)

Sorry I haven't had time to listen and comment on anything guys. I'm working on a new remix but it's almost finished. I will try to catch up on following and listening in a few days hopefully.

I'm not going to debate this notion of being an old lady (curmudgeon) - it might derail the topic to potentially flame wars, or who knows what.

I like my fans, and I like it even more when they are active people who enjoy my music. No, not all of my fans are active, and I can't stop people on Soundcloud from just following me in hopes I follow back, but, I do my music because I love it, this is not some fan service. Yes, again I like my fans (what few I have). I'll just leave it at that, I don't want to expand on this.

You may also be worried that if you follow people whose music you don't like SoundCloud will somehow get the wrong idea about what type of music you like. You don't have to worry about that because unless you like the most bland commercial crap, SoundCloud won't get recommendations right anyway. Historically SoundCloud has only recommended the most popular artists and probably the ones who paid SoundCloud the most money. But, these days it tries to base its recommendations on tracks you've played on SoundCloud which is stupid because I've played heaps of tracks that I don't like and SoundCloud recommends similar stuff to me.

Anyway, as soon as you post here in this thread and follow me, I will follow you back straight away.

Getting followed doesnt mean anyone is gonna listen to your tracks. I'd rather have 10 true fans who will buy everything than 10.000 who follow me just to get followed back. This is exactly what killed myspace. People more concerned about ego than actually being passionate about the notes. This is so lame.
