Hello all,
Today we have released a new maintenance update for Cubasis 1.5
Here is the complete new feature list as well as all the improvements and user reported problems solved:
NEW FEATURES
Micrologue virtual analog synthesizer incl. 50 factory presets.
Allen Morgan Signature Drums with 16 drum kits and 80 MIDI loops.
Mute group support for drum kits (Hi-hat open/close problem solved).
Instrument track freeze for internal instruments.
Instrument rack for loading and editing Cubasis' instruments.
Modulation wheel support for Micrologue synth.
Revamped standard instrument player.
IMPROVEMENTS
Internal audio engine improvements.
FIXES
CB-1172 A rare phenomenon where VU levels were not displayed correctly in the mixer has been fixed.
CB-1173 Using reverb on MIDI instruments that are shorter than the effect pre-delay now work as expected.
CB-1194 Using Undo to revert an instrument change in the track list now works as expected.
CB-1223 Fixes a problem where resetting the track volume in the inspector using Undo failed.
CB-1224 Fixes an issue where track colors changed after pressing Undo or Redo.
CB-1238 A long tap on an event with two fingers simultaneously no longer renders Cubasis unreliable.
CB-1240 Fixes a rare phenomenon where imported audio events of a zipped project remained empty.
CB-1248 Renaming events and projects using non-Latin and/or special characters now works as expected.
ISSUES AND SOLUTIONS
Issue:
Movements of the mod wheel in Micrologue will be ignored when being recording with Cubasis.
Solution:
No solution, the issue is planned to be fixed with a later update (when we introduce automation).
Issue:
Freezing a track when the song position cursor is placed on a pitched event might result in a detuned audio file.
Solution:
Make sure to place the song position cursor at the beginning of your song that contains no pitch information.
You can find the new update through the app store
Best regards,
GN

Great.
But when can we expect the 50% off, summer sale?

I'd buy it if it went on sale. Otherwise, not in the cards for me. Bought Auria and that blew my $50 app wad.

Guilty. And why not? It's by far the best sounding DAW on iPad but not only there.I don't know exactly what it is (could be just the different way i'm working with it)but after a short time i was able to do better mixes than i do in Logic. And i was working with Logic a couple of years.Yes,"was".In fact i stopped working with my Macbook and produce only wth my iPad(4th gen).Yes,it takes longer to get the desired result but makes much more fun to me.And i mostly do it somewhere else now.Very inspiring to use it everywhere i want while sitting at my desk always felt like work the last years.
The FX in Cubasis are still quite crappy and i'm not able to arrange things there because of the missing automation (are there really peple out there doing music without dynamic changes of events in the year 2013?).So i start in Cubasis and export all the tracks to arrange and master in Auria.Arround a dozen purchased Fabfilter and PSP plugins are quite helpful as well.
Once both apps are full grown,i'll be happy to choose between them on a daily mood and not because one lacks features the other one have and vice versa...

Yes. Also spent a few bucks on all the FabFilter, PSPaudioware, FXpansion etc goodies in there. Amazing what you can do on a tablet these days.BMoore wrote:Same here.
