Thanks! There will be similarities in terms of graininess and oddball character. I also intend for the two to work well together, as I will be making music with both of these myself over the course of Construct's beta stage. So, like Phonec, this won't be a "cover all bases" kind of instrument, but rather one that has a distinct sound yet leaves enough room for healthy experimentation.

Coming Next:
*Numerical control readouts
*Properly named parameters for MIDI automation/assignments
*Improved Dub Delay; now stereo with timeshift switches
*Compressor on each drum FX chain
*Improved EQ
*Fix for output routing issues
*Adjust volumes to fix initial clipping

After this next update there should be no problems recalling patches for future updates, so I'm planning on setting up a pre-order for the full version at a special discounted price while still in beta.

No problem :) I'm going to try some more, this week. Great work, Jack!
I could see a great use of a sequencer in this, something like the one in, Audio Damage's Tattoo. The layout in Tattoo is very easy to use.

Nice plugins Jack.

I assume the March offer is now off?

It is, but I'm planning one for July.

I do like Tattoo's sequencer, it seems very compact and easy to work with. If I ever get around to updating Minimal to v2, this would be the style I'd probably go with.

Beta 2 is now available:
Download
Changes:
*improved transients, now utilizing 'frequency click modulation'
*added a compressor to each drum (in place of the bit crushers for now)
*improved dub delay, now stereo with time shift switches
*universal amp decay and gate for each drum
*fixed all modulation routings
*fixed issues with channel routings
*various improvements to each drum including bug fixes, gui updates and sound improvements

Please note: This version has several changes that may make previous presets unable to load properly. Several structural changes took place in this update, but from here on out I will make an effort to ensure this wont be an issue.

There's a few things I didn't get around to that I intend to do first thing for update3, such as control readouts and mute/solo switches.

Pre-order coming soon...

Beta2! Cool!
Something I've found, interesting. A granular effect!
I've tried this one:

Which has, a granular effect and it sounds fantastic!

Jack, tell us, when we've made enough, work for you :hihi:

Well Scott, a granular effect would be interesting. But with Construct I'm trying to avoid destructive effects, which is why I replaced the bit crusher with a compressor. My vision for Construct is hyperfunctionality in the realm of sound design and workflow. FSU effects and sequencing can always be done much better in a separate environment using dedicated plugins and a host sequencer.

However that Minimal update I referred to the other day, granular would fit right in with that compact sequencer you were talking about. What I see for Minimal 2 is more of a sketch pad using experimental drum sounds, lots of noise and bits flying around. Like a crazy circuit-bent toy.

I noticed a few problems with the update. An obvious issue with the Clap drum's GUI panel, and also some of the Ambient sounds don't correlate to the dropdown list. I'm working on a fix for these and will update ASAP...

Yes, I get what your saying, so as is, is good.

I'll watch for, the Minimal, update. Thanks :)
