Me too.
I think Caine needs to come back and clarify what he meant.

in any case i think he find the answer he need. we have now clarification of chords and scales, links to tutorial sites and a few apps which can be used additionally. :)
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Do you guys deal with this a lot here? When I'm teaching I call this "Guitar Owners from the Internet Syndrome". My students usually have a good laugh (unless they happen to be one themselves).

*sigh* I know I sound like the old guy telling kids to get off his lawn, but the "democratization" of art has made it so anyone believes they are a musician when they haven't put in the actual work to be one. Music is as much a craft as it is an art, but the craft is the part that takes the work and consequently is the part many people bypassing their way to "artistry."

It boggles the mind why people into electronic music will put so much work into learning the ins and outs of filters and LFOs and envelopes and effects and on and on, but when told they should put in some time with music fundamentals it's like you asked them to write a dissertation or something.

Oh well, I'm sure the regulars in this sub forum have already said all of this. I have been reading threads over here for a while and just had to throw it out there.

The most maddening part is hen you want to help but someone doesn't even know enough to ask a coherent question. That's tough.

Just so I'm clear, when the OP said "keys" he meant the keys on a keyboard? :?

I have no idea.
Although didn't he say he had been sent "files in F minor"?

f**k off with you condescending bullshit - especially since you did not even undersrnd the question (simple as it may have ever been) -
*sigh* I know I sound like the old guy telling kids to get off his lawn, but the "oversimplification" of education has made it so anyone believes they are a teacher when they haven't put in the actual work to be one.

What is so special about it? It is the same thing as the Circle of Fifths, just a bit rotated (with E maj on top instead of C maj)! :|
