Hi!
There are a lot of sampled Rhodes on the market...
Precisionsound are going to release a product soon (Dusty Electric MKII...) we think that we have a very good product to offer but we also want input from customers first to improve it even further.
What is god/bad/missing with the other librarys?
Are they to Big I MB? To clinical sounding?
Badly edited? Super great in any way!
Any comments and whishes will be much appreciated.
Best

Scarbee RSP 73
That's it! Phew...
The problem I've found is that most virtual Rhodes just sound too "on/off" and from the perspective of someone who plays a real Rhodes, the sound never really reflects what you're doing to the keys. Maybe that's not a bad thing! Unless someone wants to develope a 73 note controller keyboard that makes you feel like you're hitting the keys underwater...
Seriously, I've yet to try a VSTi that would tempt me to part with my Rhodes. I haven't actually tried Scarbee of course, but the demo's are the best I've heard.

Scarbee is the ONE!!
http://www.scarbee.com/products/rsp73/index.php
I have and it has the soul of the instrument. It plays like a dream. I really don't think you could get any better.
I only use a few sample companies, due to being very picky and Scarbee is the best. I just got his J-Slap bass and it took over my Trilogy spot.
I use Halion 2 and Scarbee brings it to life.
I'll say it again. Scarbee captures the soul of the instrument, not what people think it should sound like, but what it actually sounds and FEELS like.
Amazing stuff.
and great serivce as well. I bought mine from House of samples and found them to be excellent as well.

too expensive.
but looking at your price for a single sample cd
75 Swedish Krona = 5.53130 British Pound
you won't suffer from out pricing.

For what you get, Scarbee is a bargin.
If you buy crap samples, you'll end-up buying more in the future..

SampleSets costs around 75 SEK and -> depending of the content.
If you Buy all SampleSets for example; AVP Angelic Vocal Pads you pay 300 SEK for the download or 350 SEK for a CD-Rom.
The Dusty Electric MK II will not cost $199 though

I have a Rhodes Stage 73 Mk1, Clavinet E7, Vox Continental 300, Solina, and loads of other miscellaneous old keyboards, synths, percussion etc, but of the lot, the Rhodes is the one i find I can just play for hoours and hours. It's luurvly!lavoll wrote:what do you mean? what other intruments ive got? i got one rhodes here, and also one in the other studioclueless wrote:I've asked you this before, lavoll, but what else have you got, apart from the sexmachineRhodes?lavoll wrote:this oneboth mark I. but i dont have any other vintage instruments here. i had some pictures of my instrumetns online, but it looked kinda tacky, but i have a nice collection of drums, flutes, a rather deluxe jawharp
and.. uhh.. thinking about picking up a trombone.. used to play that years ago. other than that its all synths and software. 4 pieces of roland, 2 pieces of alesis, and one piece ensoniq.
