As the title. Anyone using Auria 1.10 iPad 1 OS version 5.1.1 without crashing?

I've just downloaded the latest version and it keeps crashing on me.

I have a new iPad and updated Auria, no crashing. However, I have to believe Auria would be a bit much for a iPad 1.

Well it says it would allow 24 tracks on iPad1. Realistically. If I could get 8 or so tracks I'd be happy. First I've got to get it to work.

The Auria Discussion Board is a terrific place for questions. They are extremely responsive and very helpful over there. http://auriaapp.com/forum/index.php

I tend to wait a few days before installing app updates to be sure things are ok. There is a known bug where renaming the mixdown track will cause a crash. When saving a mixdown file, keep the default name.

As I was reading through the Auria forum this morning came across a thread that says it won't run on iOS 5.x. They will fix it for the next release. You will need to go back to a previous version. http://auriaapp.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... ead#unread

That reminds me of another thing I do. After syncing my iPad to the computer I also back up older IPA files for important apps (Auria being one of them) just in case there is a big bug or something I don't like about an update. That way I can go back to a previous version while I wait things out.

Thanks. I've got a thread going there about this issue. The dev has confirmed that there might be an issue. I just wanted to find out if anyone was successful with this configuration.

How do you do that? In particular how do you then reload the out of date version? And aren't you then prohibited forever more from pressing update all?

In order to do this you MUST delete the app off your device, and therefore losing all your data. Apps like Auria let you backup the data first or you can use a computer application that lets you browse your device and back things up manually.

I am a bit sketchy on this as I am not near my computer with iTunes and probably haven't needed to do this in over a year. Before you start, be sure iTunes is NOT opened on your computer.

Once you delete the application from your device you need to go into your iTunes Application directory on the computer. The location depends on where it is set/defined in your iTunes application, but on Windows, iTunes is in the Music folder, and then look for the Applications directory.

Look for the application listed in the directory and delete the latest version. Find your backed up IPA file and place it in this folder. Now re-open iTunes and sync (you may not need to do this step). Once synced, check to add the app on to your device. It will be the older IPA file you just placed in the directory. Now sync again and you should have the previous version.

When I sync, iTunes places the older IPA files in the trash so you need to go into your trash and selectively choose the IPA files you still want to keep. Once they are gone, you can't go back to a previous version.

I don't think so, but maybe someone else knows specifically whether or not there is a problem. I haven't had to use it in a long time, and there was no problem that I recall once I wanted to update again.

The devs have a fix for this. It will be pushed out in the next update.
