If you have Guitarism, in the lower right corner is an arrow that opens a play settings menu containing some advanced playing techniques you can take advantage of like hammer-ons and pull-offs, tilted chords and my favorite "fret muting".audiojunkie wrote:Rhism, what is this "Pro Techniques" IAP that you are referring to? Maybe I missed what that one is going to be? Could you tell me about that one or point me to where it is talked about? Thanks!

Right, but what's going to be in the Advanced playing techniques IAP that Rhism mentioned? ....or did I misunderstand Rhism's comment about IAPs?

Haven't talked much about the Pro Techniques IAP yet, mostly because I don't yet know what it's going to be
Custom chords for sure, but also hopefully a bunch of other things. The goal for that IAP is to make guitarism as expressive as it can possibly be, take it to the max as a chords-based app. So I'll be experimenting on a bunch of things - fret vibrato, neck tremolo, palm muting, whammy bar, etc. Can't promise anything as I have no idea what will work and what won't, but that is the general idea

Dynamics and subtle variety in the sound. Also important to make it expressive.
Thera are too many instrument simulations that sound static.

I look forward to it!!! Any idea as to when we might be seeing the IAP for the new guitar sounds? I know that you have been working on it for a while and have done like five? versions of it.

Yeah still feels like end July for the guitar sounds IAP, which might mean that I *submit* it by end July and then Apple takes a week to approve, and if they decline for whatever reason then I resubmit the same day and then another week to re-approve. So sometime in the first 2 weeks of August
