"The Wall of Sound is the name some people gave to a super powerful, extremely accurate PA system that I designed and supervised the building of in 1973 for the Grateful Dead. It was a massive wall of speaker arrays set behind the musicians, which they themselves controlled without a front of house mixer. It did not need any delay towers to reach a distance of half a mile from the stage without degradation."
Between 1965 and 1967, Stanley produced more than 1.25 million doses of LSD.

THAT'S how you get a wall of sound.
(Not to promote the song though, it's underlying message is horrific...)

calling anything that bunch of pussys did a "wall of sound" is akin to calling a pebble a planet.
Probably had a great feel and spread if it was not turned up to uncomfortable SPLs. Just looked at a diagram of The Greatful Dead WOS and yeah it seems massive especially for the time. Phil Spector, I don't know anything about the guy except he seems very creepy, Is almost dwarf sized and was found guilty of a gun in mouth tragedy. Apparently he worked on records bossing people around, I've not really ever listened to any of it to be honesThis is a joke right? Like, I'll admit...It was definately funny at first, but now, really? I mean it's lost it's charm bud, you're not impressing any one.psychoxkps wrote:robojam true.. but aren't you paranoid when u calling wall-of-sound builded from pa wall-of-sound what should be done w/ u know.. something special.. diffusor delay:DD
