[*] New: preset menu now contains a list of available presets sorted by categories
Presets still can't be auditioned... :( (that is: controllers change position upon clicking a preset in the "load" menu)

I know it is not "cool" to audition presets, but I had some really happy accidents with the old system... sadly it can't be used within the new Glue...

I just added a menu for quicker selection of existing presets, which is mainly for The Glue users actually, just forgot to delete it from this news post first time round, the full preset browser / audition / tagging functionality is to come.

Big thanks Andy,

This works flawlessly over here. Also a big thanks for The Drop release you dropped ;-)

When loaded, it looks like the displayed preset name is larger than it should be as it moves over the back and forward selections and menu icon. I hope the updated GUI is still coming. :)

I am happy to see that finally the mousewheel is working with the glue. Still using this compressor very often and I always missed this feature.

Ahh, I thought this was in reply to a post on the Drop forum, which is why my reply is a little odd! Better preset handling is on the way along with an updated wider GUI so there is more room for preset names as well.

Hello Andy !

I have a weird/stupid question...It seems that with The Drop you did (and still do) a lot of experiment on emulating/calculating the electronic circuitry and all its subtle details. I'd like to know if your work on the drop will impact a kind of update on the Glue algorythm or circuitry emu.
BTW thank you for these two incredible units and your passionate and impressive work ! :)

The Glue is a finished product and needs to be considered as is. I will add a dual mono to linked mode, but otherwise I have no plans to update The Glue other than making the interface slightly bigger to make room for better preset browsing.

Found that Glue sometimes works very well together with Slate's GREY one. On the same settings on each (4:1, 10, auto), balancing the GR between the two. GREY has sort of "faster grab" but tightens the bass really cool, while the Glue has "slower grab" and adds punch.

News: Thanks for all the bug reports about problems with the oversampler under certain conditions, I've found the bug and had some people test things and it all looks fixed finally! I recommend everyone update to this version.

The Glue v1.2.9 (10 Sep 2013) www.cytomic.com/glue
  • New: can now click to reset the state of the I/O checking indicator
  • Fixed: random crashes in re-sampler, mostly on 32-bit version
  • Fixed: sometimes reporting incorrect oversampling latency when base sample rate higher than 48 khz

Hi Andy,

do your updates also affect Ableton's Live9 Glue-compressor?
