Cheers for that info Mike my friend, That is good to know and yes it makes total sense to me. I don't know much about them nor have I listened to a lot of their music. I dig the idea, Look what for example (is it Bose?) do with some really weak looking pole and base of a small size but bloody heck those things are way much more than they appear to be...Foolishly I laughed when I first saw them:robojam wrote:The Dead apparently never turned it up to 11 or not even half way. I think the idea was to get the best fidelity possible by having a shitload of potential and only turning it up loud enough so that everyone could hear.
Didn't when I heard them though (The first version, I believe they've improved upon the system with the second version). Madness what can be packed into such a small space reallyAll the best

Just once did I catch Sunn0)))..great band.
I ended up seeing bands like Band of Susans, Spacemen3, Faust (who have their own wall of sound), and TD et cetera....then mine health went south...
Eventually I'll get my own wall of sound up....

Sometimes , people use balls-of-sound

You're welcome - haven't seen them myself but I know quite a few people who did (including my wife, who is far from an audiophile and said it was the best live sound she ever heard). One guy who knew live sound very well saw them and said that it seemed way over the top for the very low volume they were obviously running it at and said they could have easily doubled the volume and retained the same fidelity without unwanted distortion, etc.Dean Aka Nekro wrote:Cheers for that info Mike my friend, That is good to know and yes it makes total sense to me. I tried to read this thread sober. After reading it, I dreamed the whole night of Swedish Vodka...
