Same here. I've been running all my shit at 32 to allow for lazy developers' plugs (cough sampletank) to work. I have no idea what plugins I'm using that are available in 64. Research starts tonight.

Yes. I have 2 versions of 9 within Applications. One tweaked UI and the other original and 32bit.
Unlike Windows you can run different versions. Make a copy of the app before just to make sure

Oh... and always backup before you upgrade. Always lol

Can't remember the last time I loaded 32bit version. Or the last time I had an issue with the bridge.

Installed Mainstage and this is the additional content list that I'm assuming is similar for Logic.

All the old instruments are there.

£139.99 is more like €161 at today's rates

The UK cost (which includes VAT at 20%) for once looks slightly cheaper than the US price (which probably does not include sales TAX)

Dumb question. Does anyone know if multiple screensets are still available? The overview made it sound like everything was going to be in one window.

Better yet, does anyone have a PDF manual they can upload?

Can't see anything in this that would entice me to upgrade apart from the midi fx and new B3 (although I hope it's an improvement not a step back as the EVB3 was already the best B3 emulation) - anyway I can get those for £20 by just getting Mainstage 3

I was expecting this to be another Logic X rumours thread. Ha ha, how wrong I was.

Great to see it get released though. Surprised to see some things were left as is like the ESX24 and Ultrabeat. I would have always thought that these could have done with being a bit less clunky.

I may upgrade at some point, I have gone mostly Ableton the last few months but do like to go back every now and then, especially for mix downs.

+1. Though I love EXS24 and Ultrabeat, I was extremely surprised to see they didn't implement the recently-acquired technology of Redmatica. I would've bet serious money they would've included a new sampler editor. Good thing I didn't.

Yes the environment is still there, same familiar Cmd-8 to access, nothing appears to have changed on the surface at least.

Nice to see this released. Not sure how I feel about it yet, some minor annoyances with the UI look and feel but happy the core functionality remains intact.

New features are kinda cool but all I really need are 3rd party plugins, external MIDI with sync, audio recording and arranging. Haven't checked out the improved track grouping, but hoping it's now usable instead of an afterthought.

First test: Alchemy seems to work OK!
