"log-in" does not initiate for some reason - just comes up defaulting to a blank password each time, despite me entering registration specifics. Ah well, no worries, thanks for info - hope it's fun drums!
The login button should trigger a popup login form that just has a place to put your email and password. Is it possible you have something blocking the popup? It's a modal popup.

Maybe try a different browser?

Now I could post the direct link for the download right here... but that wouldn't be nice, would it? :D

Post

1. login at the top left corner

2. go to profile menu and click seriennummer

3. press a button below the activation-code field to get your serial number

LOL, of course you could(they would still get visitors because you have to go to their site to register, but hey)! The link to the drums itself is pretty easy to find though, at least.

Download has sped up a bit for me. I'm on a fast connection and it was running quite slow. I'll know how it is soon!

Used it. The recordings are obviously perfectly fine and it's a good thing they used some proper mics. First of all, I disabled the horrible convolution reverb in Kontakt. The reverb in the recordings is also too much for them to be usable for me, but in any case, many people would be happy with this. Very nice of Sennheiser to make this available for free. Obviously it is a microphone showcase, but if you want to complain about that, you're a weirdo.

I saw that, though I didn't request one as I'll just burn my own. But yeah, if that's free as well, they must have gotten a deal. All part of their marketing budget, no doubt. But still, the NI fee thing gets me.

So I wonder if this library qualifies you for crossgrades to the full Kontakt? I have Kontakt already, but if this does qualify.................man, an even better deal.

Well, I got it up and running. And let me say, this is a VERY good freebie. It's not BFD2, but it has lots you can do.

It has preset mappings for everything from GM to EZDrummer, BFD, Superior Drummer, BFD2, etc. to match your MIDI files. It has a built in groove PLAYER, output mapping from inside the interface, per-kit-piece effects along with master effects, sound presets, snare bleed control, and due to the variety of microphones to choose from for each kit piece, you can really get a versatile sound out of this. And the dry sound is actually not bad in terms of ambience. Maybe a tiny bit is there, but not much. You have to make sure to set it to "dry" to hear it.

My only complaint is that in some of the mics, the snare has a strange resonance to it, almost a pitched resonance, that stuck out to me. It goes away with proper use of effects for the most part, but it's still there.

I didn't need any more drums, but this is very good. And it has an English preset, for those who are wondering. So the interface doesn't have to be in German.

Probably the best drum freebie I've seen in a while, if not ever. Again, it's not perfect, and not the slickest interface in the world, but hey, it's a big free drum library that anyone can use. And the fact that it registers in Service Center so you don't even need to own Kontakt to use it, that's a plus.

So this is K5 only? Are wav files accessible?

Post

What do you guys get when you click register?
I tried each and every browser and simply nothing happens...
Is it supposed to be a poppup or go to another page?

Cheers,

Tom

Same here. The "Jetzt Informieren" javascript links work fine, but "Zur Registrierung" is bugged out and does nothing apart from refresh the animation.

Tried in FF 22.0 and IE 10.

Yes, K5 only, and for Kontakt Player libraries in 99.99% of cases WAV files are not accessible, they're packed to NKX monoliths.

@koolkeys - IIRC all Kontakt Player libraries qualify for crossgrade. Not sure, though. Easy to check when you register this library. :)
