Hmm... gotta try that one. I think the clip follow function is a very cool feature if I could just get a handle on using it. Compositionally speaking... 8)

I like using clip follow for generative composition. Like have a clip that is one quarter note long, with a single kick drum. Hen one with a double kick drum, and various other patterns. Do the same thing on other tracks for other drum sounds and melodic elements. Set everything with random follow actions. Presto!
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

I just discovered the capture scene doesn't work with Intro 9 as it's limited to 8 scenes. Which seems strange? Why wouldn't it put the (selected) clips into one of the open scenes of the remaining 8 ??? A dialog pops up and says this version is limited to only 8 scenes upgrading to the full version provides unlimited scenes...

DOH!

You could always cut and paste from the arrangement into the session view. May have to do it one clip at a time.

late to the party as usual

Well, I got a launchpad s. I think it mostly works great. Some advantages that are not easily available with the impulse:

-a way to arm/disarm tracks with a controller and not have to mouse!
-obviously having all the extra clip launches
-a dedicated scene launch (something that was tricky at best with the impulse)

Now I've been getting more into the fun stuff like the different ways clips interact. Something I really didn't do with it prior. The 8 pads on the impulse provided some fun with that, but this is nicer and so far seems to work. I don't know if I overpaid for the "s" because I had to install the driver anyways  but it is what it is.

Hibidy, he's so far behind the curve and wants those kids to get off his lawn!

I have had my Push for close to a week. It's awesome! (besides pad color inconsistency). Any little thoughts I have had about maybe switching hosts are just gone. Push is a helluva lot of fun and creative!

I might get push someday (when it's actually available to the masses :hihi: )
