there are some bugs with SONAR X2a and Cream v.1.0.6, which comes to a severely limited usage of this combination

1. more than one Cream instance crashes SONAR X2a
- this is a known but not fixed SONAR X2a bug - NOT OK

2. loop playback:
- sometimes first beat dropped out - NOT OK
- workaround: should be track recording -> point 4

3. export to audiofile:
- create Cream patterns for up to 4 tracks
- playback is correct - each synth plays all assigned Cream track notes for this relevant MIDI channel
- after export to audiofile, each synth was exported with all Cream track notes regardless of assigned MIDI channels - NOT OK

4. track recording:
- create Cream patterns for up to 4 tracks
- playback is correct - each synth plays all assigned Cream track notes for this relevant MIDI channel
- after track recording, each synth was recorded with all Cream track notes regardless of assigned MIDI channels - NOT OK

at the moment, only one Cream instance with on track can be used with SONAR X2 to export to audiofile

i'm on an earlier version of Sonar and this is among the sort of things that Sonar does with many midi VSTi not just Cream. It is Cakewalk's fault and they just concentrate on audio leaving midi development behind.

Although this might be the case I'll investigate these.

Can you Hermu tell me more about the track recording case. Does that mean that Cream works correctly only when tracks using Cream are armed from recording and then playing while recording?

i have reported this bug to Cakewalk twice and got no reply. other guys have done the same, but it seems they are not realy interrested to fix this bug.
on the other side we could to live with one Cream instance, once the single preset to tracks beyond one load problem does'nt exists

track recording problem accours only if no MIDI input device is connected :o
playback during track recording is ok, but playback of recorded track is wrong, because each synth track contains now all Cream track notes regardless of assigned MIDI channels - NOT OK

the root problem with cakewalk is that Sonar never offered true midi vst track integration. at least the mfx integrate okay but development of that was abandoned years ago as it was limited apparently. so vst integration is what we need but cakewalk could care less i'm afraid...

I'm getting the same issues with Sonar X2d. Is it still an issue?! I hope not ...

i think you meant Sonar X1d, because Sonar X2a has only one update.

now Cakewalk SONAR X3b has been released and i think that means there's no support for older versions.
SONAR X3b works now with up to 4 Cream instances, but a bit unstable and crashes if you do anything on it during playback!
