Sure, After 15 years of Logic I have now moved on and happy to go back to using PC's in the future. I'm just expressing my opinion as I thought this threads was about Logic X and I'm not trying to discourage people from using something they like but I make no apologies to referring to it as Garageband Pro because that's what I think of it. Just my opinion that's all.

FWIW it would more correct to refer to Garageband as Logic Lite ;)

Peace,
Andy.

You happy Logic X guys are just pissing people off being happy. Stop it. :hihi:

At some point we the unhappy have to move on. I did, moved on - completely - from Cubase and reduced my stress. I don't have to second guess Steiny anymore, it doesn't matter much to me what they do. Actually, I never even got around to installing the Cubase 7 demo. :)

If you're trying to get 32 bit plugs to work, I had better luck using JBrigdeM and DDMF's Metaplugin using the VST versions of some of my plugs. Worked fine.

If you had admitted in the first place that it was only your opinion instead of stating as fact:
"It is Garageband and logic 9 together. Hence "Garageband Pro". You may not like it but it is Garageband Pro."
I would have been a little less irritated. :hihi:

Question: Why do people keep saying "four years"? Was the last Logic update four years ago?

Just asking.

Post

Logic 9 was first released in 2009, with a steady stream of updates since then. 9.1.8 was the last update, October last year.

I'm getting tired of the whole "Four years of development" line. As if converting Logic 9 to 64 bit was an overnight thing. Logic 9.1 was a BIG undertaking for the dev team. I doubt LX has been in any serious development more than a year and a half.

The important thing for Logic users is that Apple is still developing it. Given the quick moves they made to correct mistakes on Final Cut X, there's a good chance that users will now see more frequent and genuinely useful point version updates on Logic. Just a chance, but--following their pattern--a good one.

Right there with ya man. Already there on the PC side now for a myriad of reasons.

I seem to recall there was a thing called Touch Tracks for MIDI, but not for audio.

Also, some have suggested that audio regions could be plopped into ESX Sampler and triggered that way, but that seems a little clunky.

LP9 added a feature that can turn an audio region into an EXS24 sampler instrument. I don't know if that's too clunky for you. It's very quick.

That would be the way to do it in logic. you could assign each loop to a different key but I'm not sure if Logic does Quantised launching like Ableton where it will trigger next beat etc but you can just place midi patterns down instead of controller triggering them.

No I'm not using any 32 bit plugins . I just want to use bidule 64 bit . Doesn't work at my end . Anyone got bidule working ?
