I already have animoog but really want something similar to the moog in terms of bass sounds and have a range of classic synths ala Juno etc.

I didn't like Sampletank sadly it really wasn't my cup of tea but any recommendations?

iMini is about the Moogiest you can get!

+1 for iMini

would Thor also be good too?, looking for classic synth sounds. I was thinking of too Alchemy?.

Imini. Does exactly what you describe. But Thor if you want, but if you want moog bass get imini. I tried it next to a minimoog voyager last week and it is damn close. I play it through a large PA on every gig and it has more bottom end than you'll ever need.

I definitely be getting imini but what other apps are good for classic synth sounds?.

If its the sounds your after rather than making your own patches then bis-16 plus appropriate soundfonts is worth a look.

imini is excellent.
Korg iMS20 and iPolysix are also superb.

+ Animoog can do classic sounds if you want; Sunsine's "Emulation" presets (under $5) are a gesture in this direction, but they have minimal modulation and articulation. I think there's more that could be done here, both with the existing timbres and with custom-recorded timbres (say, from a Minitaur or Phatty).

+ Alchemy's "Himalaya Vintage" pack has classic sounds that are very well done. The in-app purchase is $5, well worth it.

+ Epic Synth is a Juno clone, but the sound quality is not high. For Roland-y sounds, get Sunrizer. In fact, just get Sunrizer; the sound quality and interface are both outstanding. It's also good for Vangelis sounds; the default "Blade Runner" patch is excellent, as are the vintage web banks (downloadable from the app itself) by CFA.

SynthX...UI is not polished, but this one definitely has the 70's synth sound down pat. It's design is inspired by the Arp Odyssey.

And the X-Y keyboard can be pretty expressive.

Yes, SynthX for ARP sounds. The UI is ugly, but expressive; and it was the first synth app (I believe) to display the dynamic waveform.

You can pull some classic sounds out of Magellan too.

Also vote for iMini and Epic synth
