A right to be rude? That's nice.
Ableton is for creative people that want to be able to get their ideas down fast. It's also specifically made for modern electronic musicians. LPX is pretending to be for all of us.
Declaring yourself a modern music producer (and therefore superior if I'm reading between the lines correctly) because you use one host over another is a ridiculous assertion.

I don't think so. This is about LPX not fully satisfying some modern electronic musicians.

Except some other "modern electronic musicians" will say the same about Live. Some might be using Bidule or Numerology and declaring both Ableton and Logic a complete joke.

How hard is this to understand?

Is your way the only way?

There isnt a single product that does. Leveraging a single instance of that, for what appears to be nothing more than self-aggrandisation, is disingenuous and puerile.

I'm talking about LPX, not about someones personality or issues.
Ableton was founded by musicians for musicians, which is why it's so quick and inspiring to work with.
Apple suffers from glaucoma and dementia, so their roadmap is a bit unclear.

Hey, this is just a thread about an updated software app, calm down everybody...

well personally i think you could produce electronic music on any platform/daw however it's just a matter of which daw suites you and how you feel comfortable with it. iv'e tried and tested many. i used cubase for years but logic (i'm a new comer) seems to be the one that works for me. all others have their plus and minus points but again it's just personal taste.

That's weird, 'cause I heard Logic was created by chefs for helicopter pilots.

So you hate Apple. Is that what you really wanted to say?

Wrong, there are several ones. And not just sequencers.
Thank you for the condescending tone towards many electronic musicians creative work, old man.

I really like the name Logic. Was that what they thought of when they made the environment in, Logic?

I don't hate Apple at all. I use their computers and iPhones, iPads.
I just don't think they have a clear map and full understanding of what is important and what is not when it comes to LPX.
I am not alone thinking like this, by the way.

Clearly you have no grasp of (ahem) logic.

For any product, there will be a group of some users it will not fully satisfy, whether or not it fully satisfies a different group. The only possibility for that not to be true is if there is a a product which fully satisfies all users, in this case, all 'modern electronic musicians'.

Please feel free to list the 'several' products which fully satisfy all modern electronic musicians though, and prove me wrong.

You should provide an authenticated and supported definition for 'modern electronic musicians' though.

Thank you for the condescending tone towards many electronic musicians creative work, old man.
Ive made no comments about anyone's work in this thread, so this statement is entirely spurious and fallacious.

It always happen on a popular thread. An attention wh*** troll stating the most ridiculous things. Can we keep talking about what it really matters instead discussing absurd facts?

You guys are to funny and touchy. Are you perhaps even certified Logic people?

I really like the name Logic.

The irony is brilliant.

That's how it is. Name calling, mocking, ridiculing, the one guy who speaks for many about valid criticism.
So, some users should just shut up, don't criticise or ask for fixes, don't ask for new features that would simplify things for many, go use other software. That really solves it..

Can anyone tell me - is there a Logic version of the Ableton re-pitch algorithm...the one which adjusts the tempo by a simple repitch? I like this algo for percussive loops as slicing does not always give smooth results...

Logic Flex pitch is a time independent process...
