That's how it is. Name calling, mocking, ridiculing, the one guy who speaks for many about valid criticism.
So, some users should just shut up, don't criticise or ask for fixes, don't ask for new features that would simplify things for many, go use other software. That really solves it..

I see.
Bringing up valid criticism about the lack of certain functions and features=Attention Seeker
Having opinions about certain things=Whore
Trying to explain things and why they are important to many=Troll
Other peoples views and matters are absurd and weird.
Wow. I thought cyber bullying was done by kids, mostly teen girls. I guess I was wrong. I sure hope some of you don't have kids.
Don't worry. This does not affect me at all. I am not insecure or easy to push around. I could not care less what issues a bunch of old men have to attack another user here, but it brings up some questions in my head about a few of you. Wow.

Why don't you go over here to talk about all the great features Live has for modern music producers.Bringing up valid criticism about the lack of certain functions

Just found this:

I am a PC user since around 21 years and use softsynths since around 2005.
Started using Live 7 around 2007 and Cubase SE 2 before that (2004 - 2007).
Since using Windows 7, Live 9 Suite (current version 9.0.5) and Reaper 4 (+ some dedicated editors for my few hardware synths) any wishes to become a Mac user (i was tempted while using Windows Vista...) has completely vanished. The only possible change could be finally moving from 32-bit to 64-bit but no real need at the moment.
In the past I have heard of lots of trouble from people using Logic (either here, or at other places) and while for all Logic users i wish those problems are solved i have a few doubts. Some of those problems seemed to be based on the updates to OSX and if i noticed correctly using Logic X also needs an update to the latest OS. This would be like Windows 8 is necessary to work with Live 9 which is not the case.
I am quite sure that something like offering no upgrade to existing users is something that will not happen with Ableton Live anytime soon.
The only thing that makes the missing upgrade price of Logic X acceptable is that Apple lowered the price of the full version to a reasonable amount.
I am not sure if that will stay the price in the years to come.
I do not say Live is perfect but same seems to be true about Logic (at leas the former versions). I have tested many hosts in the past (including testing some updates from time to time). At the end i'll stay with Live as it fits my own workflow. If necessary i also got Reaper 4.
Or as Spock could maybe say: "I don't see any logic in using Logic..."
PS:
The only Apple products i use are an iPod Classic (80 GB), iTunes (for the iPod) and Apple Safari for Windows. As a MP3 player iPods are indeed the best.

forums are places people generally go to to: complain about something, or get help. posting simply how "the app works real well, i have no questions, issues, problems"...doesn't happen much.
logic is just another app; ideal for some, ok for others...not needed for the rest. as is Live, cubase, PT...
for me, it's been great, and LX is the best so far. i've had, over the last 5 years:
issues, challenges. most have been solved/fixed.
bottom line, i make music, and love the process.
to each, his (or her) own (daw). whatever works.

Obviously he has no idea what he's talking about and is probably an all-time Windows user trolling just for the fun of it.killmaster wrote:this sounds childishtonkatodd wrote:

New Logic Pro X features are HUGE, workflow is greatly enhanced, it's faster than 9, sleeker looking and pricing is really low to start with. Well... the dongle is your Mac but nothing is perfect

That is true, but we also have a right to complain and discuss things in a forum about DAWS, Sequencers.
I think that striving for perfection, or really improving things, in software, or life in general, is important.
How else will things move forward for the better faster?
I have mailed Apple many many times over the years, like thousands of other users, about improvements in workflow and some features, but they just don't seem to address those. Why not?
You like the fact that routing and resampling is more complicated and even difficult to setup in LPX?
I don't hear any of you saying anything about this. Are you all using midi only and just record vocals in LPX?

one thing I've wondered is, has there been any verification that the audio engine has NOT been reworked? Would it matter?
It would be surprising if a company like Apple didn't do what it could to make sure it's pro versions can move easily into new and upcoming technologies. I wish we could find out what the overall thinking is on this. What do they gain by "dumbing it down" ( which strikes me as an arrogant reaction )?
Whatever they did, it's easy to see some new ideas implemented really well and I feel inspired with the new interface. I really like this update. I love the new drumming stuff ALOT, and the remote app, and for that matter everything that has been added. My only gripe really is them not re-working the plugin graphics and zero updates to EXS24.
