Yes that's true around here mate. KVR isn't the be all end all. It's not good to give stuff for free imo there's always someone not gonna be happy even if it's free they want more and more. But the only thing i don't like about threads like this is that it says "LOGIC" as the topic then we get all sorts of daws being discussed taking this one off the rails.
By all means gripe about Logic and it's features but people not using this software should just join a topic on their favorite daw. Nothing against you mate but i want to learn as much as i can from users of this daw rather than discuss others.

Anyway have a nice sunday mate :-)

Oh how unexpected of you to twist things. Its a shame the facts dont reflect that, given that you're the one who actually started jumped on people with opinions that differed from yours, to wit your personal attacks on ZenPunkHippy.

The 'opinion' that got you jumped on was that only your opinion was valid.
I'm not the one derailing this thread. It's called defence.
You're a liar, plain and simple...

You made free patches, shared them for free, but there is still some little insecure minion who just wants to spit in your face.
Is he still there?
This is a great place. Not even free stuff is appreciated.
A bit OT so i just sent a PM.

No discussion about patches was intended in this thread. There were lots of replies before i was able to send that PM and write this post.

PS

I joined another forum, no posts yet but i'm getting more good info there than on here. They seem to wanna discuss the daw in question a lot more and there's some good advice there. Your probably members anyways but it's a good read :-)

But this thread isn't about presets and i think Ingo uses Live and this topic says LOGIC? Or am i missing something here?
Just to point out that some people get crap for no real valid reason, or for trying to do something positive.
Indeed. ZenPunkHippy posted that different hosts had different strengths, and that different people had different needs, and in return, you gave him crap for it.

It does not bother me at all. I don't get affected by this, but it's interesting to see.
I'm not paying attention. I skip over the name calling bits.

I really think if someone is that extreme as you say then why bother reacting? They are just in their own world with their own agenda. forgetaboutem I say...

Sure. I could ignore them, but why do they seem to get a satisfaction of this?
If you can't take criticism, you have issues.
I am here to try to find one person to talk about LPX with, that also share my view on some issues i have with LPX, but i guess there aren't any here. I have tried other forums with the subject of Logic, but nobody can be bothered to answer things, or even know how to do it in Logic, even if they have used it for years.
I guess it makes them look dumb.

I have asked questions about things i am curious about in Logic as a potential buyer, but still no answers. So i will wait and see if someone talks about it more in-depth.

You maybe should pay more attention. For one thing, Decagon was the one doing the name-calling in the first place, and the one who took umbrage at someone else having an opinion that he disapproved of.

Im pretty sure I got crap first, but go ahead and turn it around.
I guess it won't be LPX talk here anymore. All focus on me.

Hi mate,

The very guy you were having a bit banter with before is well clued up on the mac and logic though. Andy knows his stuff and so do a lot of others. I know my stuff too about other things but not Logic. That's why i listen to their advice :-)

Sure fire away and ask questions, you have a right as a potential buyer but don't slate the ones in the know eh cause then they might not post anymore and then i'll be screwed too lol.

Anyways i hope you check out this daw mate :-0

Well, here you are, having issues with someone saying 'all hosts have good and bad points'.

All hosts have good and bad points.

Ableton Live can't handle sysex, which I need for hardware synths. Unbelievable that a Pro sequencer in 2013 can't do the basic things I need to create music ;)

Peace,
Andy.

It's party comments like this that prevent things from going forward. What you don't understand you make fun of. What category of people do you belong to?
If you lack imagination, and vision, you might as well give up.

That's you attacking ZenPunkHippy first. Then a few posts later, saying you believed you had the right to be rude merely because he had a different opinion from you.

Noone needs to turn anything around. Cold hard facts.

You escalated this by acting as if the features you need for your "modern productions" are somehow superior and more important than the features people find useful in Logic.

That is flat out wrong.

So I have no right to defend myself from anyone?

I have issues with people that can't seem to handle criticising Logic or understand what I brought up is important, and instead call people like me who want certain features or improvement names.
Something negative I can't remember now.

That's your problem if you don't want to use the free patches.

Anyway as written in my last post the patches discussion was not started by me and i wrote an reply to Decagon by PM. Before i was able to post that and another reply there there were already lots of posts including yours.

Concerning Logic in my first posts at this forum i just made my point clear why opposing to other people i will NOT move to Mac and to Logic. Call that trolling if you like.

Those pictures were just for fun BTW while there is a t least a bit of truth in them, especially the first one.

And what did he say that I reacted on. If you are going to copy and paste, make sure you get it all, ok?

I was speaking in general, but also felt he was attcking me because of my views. So?

Should I defend myself more, and answer back on non LPX things, or can it go back to LPX now?
