MUX is a serious contender as soon as the new FAT modes with layers etc. are ready...

Spire is the nearest thing to Sylenth in my opinion.

Synthmaster is like an older woman who doesn't look that pretty but can do many things what young girls can't do... It takes some time to love Synthmaster but if you love it, it lasts forever...

I hope the next version of SynthMaster is a hot babe.

I love the sound and possibilities, but I'm shallow.

Doesn't anyone think that Diversion synth could be an alternative? Don't own that yet, but the demos heard make me think it's not that far (if any) behind.

Yes.. I've had very little trouble getting the few sounds I've attempted to convert (through manual recreation) from Sylenth1 into Zebra2.

I did a few this way where I'd have S1 play the first part of a loop and then Z2 play the latter part to the point where they sounded identical. It was an interesting play....

Sadly, I reformatted my HD without saving my Zebra sounds (since they somehow were installed on the C drive :().. so many of them seem to be gone for good. :(

When the next Zebra is released.. I hope the EDM scene picks up on it and releases a ton of banks for it..

I tried the demo and think it sounds absolutely nothing like Sylenth. Sounds very sterile and plain.

am a sylenth1 addict, now going thru withdrawal (moved to logic X, so no more 32bit AUs).
been trying out everything LOL...ana, twin2, etc. i HAVE diversion.it's great for pads, spacy stuff. dune is warm, round...nice. synthmaster has it's great moments too. and zebra is one of my go-to's, an amazing synth...

sylenth1 just fills it's own space, and i can't find an ideal replacement.

so will make music with other sounds...and all is well...

It would be fun to pick a sound that everyone loves from the Sylenth1 factory sound bank and we each try to recreate it on several synths. I personally do believe that Zebra2 can sound extremely close when tweaked correctly, but I won't deny that Sylenth1 still is awesome for its instant tweakability ond simplicity.

Are you sure? Like maybe one of the first posts on page 1? ;)

The problem with this is that it doesn't solve the main reason people are looking for sylenth1 alternatives: Mac 64bit.

I'd love to see a 64bit mux though. And from what I've heard, the synth in this does sound about as close to sylenth1 as it comes, apart from maybe Twin 2.

Imho Zeebra got his own character but is very different from Sylenth.
Ace maybe sounds "analogue and warm" as Sylenth does but is a very different concept.

If I had to replace Sylenth1 I would first cry out loud, then I think I'd start to demo Tone2 Saurus. It looks like it could replace it, it's supposed to be very low on cpu and the audio demo's I heard sound pretty good, even a bit "Sylenthy" to my ears (especially the "modern" ones).

Anybody that has both Saurus and Sylenth1 can comment on that?

saurus is a GREAT plugin, but it's different. the closest i've heard to sylenth1 remains spire...but S1 is truly it's own thing....

twin2 is ok, a bit...rubbery-sounding for my money. lacks the bite and depth of S1 (or spire, for that matter). not crazy about the GUI either...but it's not bad overall... (i preferred it to ana, for example).

everyone has an opinion LOL...

Hmm yes, if it was that easily replaced then it wouldn't still be this popular after all these years.. Now lets just hope that DSP codemaster Lennard actually is working again on something in his genious lab in the basement..
