Cool! Journal your findings! I read them, even if I don't post responses much. :-)

Thanks again for this!

Oki-Doki, tested my good and trusty M-Audio Pro-49 as well as my portable Korg NanoKey2 and as far as I can tell MIDI side of iOS 7 works as prescribed - i.e it just works :)
Audio side, my Apogee Duet works as well and borrowed "generic" USB Audio i.O from Behringer seems to do the job as well.
In a process of testing the hardware I have unfortunately discovered some software issues :(
After 2 hours of using the combination of all above, I have discovered that my 2 iPads "decided" to ungroup all of my apps and disable cellular data for all apps, including Apple native Safari, Email and so on.....?!
Going through my "crash logs" as we speak, but since Apple Dev Centre is still down due to hacking, I can't be sure what caused that unusual iOS behaviour in the firs place...
Keep you all posted (as usual), once Dev portal is up and running and I can proceed with more tests.
BTW; At this stage of testing I would NOT recommend installing iOS 7 BETA...
Sorry... :(
Kind regards,

Leslie

I will be closing this topic, as there is no interest in it to begin with.
Perhaps after official iOS 7 release, we can go back to it, but obviously this time is not the time :(

One last discovery - Alchemy crashes on start up

Leslie, you are amusingly arrogant.

This is a known problem caused by a bug in iOS 7 relating to AudioBus functionality. Apple say it's fixed in the latest beta but we haven't tested that ourselves.

Peace,
Andy.

Thanks Andy for your response, but I'm afraid that this problem haven't been fixed in the latest beta 6 released today I'm afraid... :(
Oh well, perhaps beta 7 (last one before GM) will fix this problem ;)
Thanks heaps again for your contribution to this topic, really appreciated...

How has the CPU usage been with the iOS 7 betas compared to iOS 6? I have an iPad 2.

Surprisingly good, considering that there is still a lot of debug code running in the background (it is beta after all).
I don't think you'll notice any difference in performance on your iPad 2 :)

That's great to hear! I hope it is as good. It would be great if it were better (although I don't expect that to happen). :-)

Hi Andy, if you are following this thread, you'll notice that Apple did not fix anything in the latest GM release, so I guess it is up to you guys to fix it instead I'm afraid ;)
Kind regards,
Leslie
BTW; AudioBus was updated twice already to comply with iOS 7.

Alchemy just released iOS 7 update and that includes Inter-App Audio support.
Mega happy :)
In fact there is an avalanche of incoming iOS 7 music apps updates. Just today I have received 16 and a lot of them include Inter-App Audio support.
