A really stupid new feature that made me really happy is the fact that when you click on the transport bar, it will finally stick on a nearest time division and not on the exact point you clicked (no more , and . if you know what I mean).

I hope you can turn that off, I hate snapping. If I want a transport bar in a certain place I click on I don't want it to jump to the nearest time division, I want it where I put it.

My guess is that this option can be changed in the "Snap" settings. I'm at work right now, but I'll confirm this as soon as I get home.

There is also an audio to midi function for monophonic tracks. I didn't get any decent result out of it before it crashed, but YMMV.

Hi all, I just ordered Komplete 9 this morning (not ultimate) didn't see the point as i don't need all the stuff but i'm looking for a good fast hard drive to store the Komplete library on. I ask cause i'll be using it on my MBP which only has a 256ssd so i was thinking to get either an external thunderbolt drive or a fast USB3.0 drive. Any thoughts on which i should get? I was looking at these here:

I bought the Seagate drive thunderbolt converter as I already had a 2 TB 7,200 Seagate USB drive I was using for samples. Massive speed improvement, it works just like an eSATA or internal drive now. If you can get hold of one of them the nice thing is although officially it is for Seagate USB drives, in reality it is just a drive caddy and so will take any SATA drive including SSDs.

My mate owns a music store and now he said if i have Maschine (which i do) he'll do me the Komplete Ultimate at £525 (crossgrade) now i'm thinking just to get that cause if i add up the cost of K9 and a HDD that's what i'll pay but now he's saying he can do me the K9 Ultimate, thoughts?

I'm not sure if the HD that comes with Ultimate is 7,200 though, or big enough to store anything other than the NI installers, doubt it somehow.

Oh i see, i never thought of that. Hmm choice time here i might be best off with K9 and external HDD then. I thought i was getting a good deal but if it's just gonna be a limited HDD from N.I then i might hit the Apple store and grab a big USB HDD and install may stuff on that.

Seen you talking about Kore Controller, i like them very much so i'm assuming if i got one i could maybe use my K9 stuff with it along with Maschine in Logic Pro X?

Yeah K9 mostly works still with Kore - well it all works but not everything is tagged like it was for earlier Kompletes but the Kore community has done a lot of work to rectify much of that and there are Kore ready versions available of the Kontakt 5 library for example.

It depends on the country you're from. I live in Mexico City and the offer right now is 3x2 in Blockbuster until july 28th, and 15% in 7 Eleven (from august 8th until 28th). It looks like in other countries like US it's just a 10-15% discount, but certainly still better than nothing!
