Nothing large like the behringer.

Do you have keyboard already? You can use a simple set of footswitches into the Pedal/Sustain. Any rack device has this as well.. Look at some of you hardware you may see footswitch inputs.

Have you got an analog joystick input? Used to be standard on the old SoundBlasters, nowadays very rare... You can hack any USB joystick, reroute it's buttons to foot pedals. Or do the same with a mouse. Since a latch switch is just a latch switch.

There's the Madcatz wired portable drumkit, which is a USB joystick/hub that you can plug in 5 1/8" plugs into(comes w/a footpedal and 4 drum pads).

I use a cheap ($9) usb numeric keypad on a 15ft. active usb extender (its like a 1-port usb hub).

Change the numeric keypad actions in Reaper to the actions you want.

Gives me a 20foot controller for across the room. Sets on a music stand or put it on something beside you.

Smart phones work as control devices too.

Wouldn't want to stand on one though. :)

There were a few minimal footswitches knocking around a while back but I'd personally go WRs route and hack a midi keyboard.

Or find some old dictaphone pedals and hack them into an arduino (what I did).
