sure not, it's much overpriced for what you get. :hihi:

ps. of course i had to said that because i dont like vengeance you know.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Well haters gonna hate ;)
Finally!

Agreed, good service so far, nice to see the max voices addition as well!

Just as a suggestion, I noticed when your scrolling through the tagged files when you hit the bottom and press the 'down' key it sends you to the top, but if you press up it wont send you back down to the bottom - forcing you to rescroll basically. Maybe add that in the next update

Thumbs up so far

Yep, Also I noticed when untagging, if you click untag and then move on to a new sample right away, after the tagged sample disappears it still moves down one slot from the one your at (even though uve moved down a few already) - which really confuses which sample you were at. Just another workflow suggestion

we will check this out, thank you :)

can you please make it possible to change pitch without effecting the note length as well? this is the one and only feature i'm missing from this sampler.

Looks promising....

can you guys PLEASE add a timestrech mode to phalanx. this is the ONE feature that if you added would make your sampler by far the best sampler ever. kontakt has this mode. they have 3 different algorithms, time machine, time machine 2, and time machine pro. they all allow you to pitch up your samples on the keyboard without effecting the sample length. in phalanx when you put a sample in and play it higher or lower on the keyboard, it changes the sample length as well as pitch. please please please add this feature! it's the only thing i'm missing!

I am absolutely no fan of timestretching :)
It destroys the signal quality and the shape of the waveform, it destroys the transients and the timing of the sound/loop, no matter how good the algorhythm is (it has to be a realtime algorhythm which is even worse). The cleanest and best possibility to pitch a signal to another note, is the way we do it, by speeding it up with a good interpolation / anti aliasing filter. This works excellent for several octaves, depending on the source sound (the sound should be looped).
With timestretch, it sounds terrible after +/-6 semitones already. Unusable. Take a sine wave and watch how the waveform looks after timestretching/pitchshifting it. Its not even a sine wave any more. But when using normal pitch mode, its still a sine wave, no matter on which octave you play it. :)

it works really well for kicks that you want pitched up a few semitones but like the length of the tail though. it would be a nice feature to have for those of us that LOVE that feature =) it would be a very appreciated addition to the sampler. I do see what you're saying. but I never use it for more than about 2-4 semitones anyways. like I said, mainly just for pitching kicks without destroying the tail length.

if there is a sample which is NOT suited for Timestretching, then its a kick sample! I would not even pitch it for 5 cents up or down. Like I said, the whole impact in the transient may get lost (VERY important for a kick) and due to the sine tail, every generated artifact from timestretching can be heard.

the professional solution would be, just to loop your kick during the tail phase (somewhere in the middle), with a 1-cycle loop. Thats clean and the results are perfect, and you can decide how long your kick should be... 1sec or infinite.
If you want to play a melody with your kick, then please seperate the attack sound, from the body (tail) sound. Then dont pitch the attack sound (keytrack 0%), only pitch up/down the body/tail. In Phalanx thats easy, by using SampleA/B Slots

i'm surprised you're so against this........ i do this quite often and have never had an issues. but you are right, a lot of times what i do is i'll use the attack from the original kick sample and cut of the tail, then pitch the tail up to make it in key. if it doesn't work within 2-4 semitones, i use a different one. but it does work really well. then i just mix the attack of the original kick with the pitched up or down tail. it's fine if you're not going to add the feature, i'm just surprised you're so against it....... that's why with kontakt though it's great that they have the 3 different modes because usually one of them will sound great with no audible artifacts, and the other two won't work well. but usually always one of the modes will work. like i said, i've never had a problem. it's just something that i find myself missing and going back to kontakt for to use that feature when i need it. it would just be something nice to have is all so i can JUST use phalanx alone.

I plan on getting phalanx in a few weeks. I'm interested in your professional opinion of Elecktron Octatrack's realtime time-stretching feature. To me it sounds pretty good in the vidz. I'll have to save up for that one though.

I see you've just released a trap xp. Is it possible you could do a vinyl sample series with multi-instruments bass, horns, strings, keys and drums, to create that hardcore sampled sound? Not loops but playable instruments. No ones really getting this right yet. Thanks. And phalanx does sound very pro which is refreshing.
