Don't encourage Urs... he's wasting enough time already. ;)

A new sub $199 synth from Urs would be stupid. Quality comes at a price.

But, Zebralette is already free. A fixed architecture synth that fits somewhere between Zebralette and Zebra2 in terms of features and price could be a real contender in the EDM synth market, provided that it has an arp, super-duper-hypersaw, trance gate, and some wub wub.

Oh yeah, Helix got a superb sound and low CPU usage, but the UI....

Good call on using Zebralette since it IS already a subset of the full Zebra synth.. But Urs might want to work on that name. :hihi:

It definitely needs a thicker unison though and a wider spread.. the distortion could use some work too.. even on the full Z2..

I'd use a GUI along the lines of Tyrell N6 v3 (without the grime look)... instead of the more modular-esque feel of Zebra2/Zebralette today.

Figures Urs would get dragged into this... :hihi:

I hate its envelopes, i'm using the beta and the envelopes are awful to program.....but the oscs sound amazing, some of the best iv'e heard.
The developer seems like such a nice guy too, if he lowered the price a bit, and made it a tiny bit more human friendly, Helix could have been a huge hit.

Same goes to Vember Audio Surge.

Two beasts that suffer from poor marketing and lack of a better UI designer.

I think Surge have one of the best UI around. The problem I have with it is the sound. Too tiny and "sterile" for my taste. But I  the UI.
