scuzzphut ...

... thanks for the crit - and im DEEPLY aware that beats is all there is - i wanted to do something REALLY percussive (been listening to my mickey hart and tabla beat science CDs) and then realised i didnt really have the chops or the ideas to fit anything melodic around the density of the beats ...

IDM ??? - ill take that i guess

EBM ??? - i wouldnt have said so but then what do i know ???

illbient etc ??? - REALLY dont know

im warming to the term 'indietronics' from the IDM thread myself

"Liquid Pretzel" Mo Verdigast
Oops, I'm sorry I missed writing a review for you. I did listen to your song and I must say it is quite the chilled ambience. Puts me in mind of Terre Thaemlitz circa 1995, but... it doesn't go anywhere. It's a loop. Rather a bunch of loops with different periods. You could argue that many songs are basically loops but I prefer a little obvious variety - a bit of asymmetry. Otherwise it becomes just a pattern. My guess is that you intentionally did that - hence the pretzel logic ;) - but I think you could have put a real Möbius-style twist in there somewhere and take it from pattern to puzzle.

You understand that when I mentioned IDM, I meant it as a joke...

Some of these labels are just hilarious. IDM. That makes about as much sense as "quantum leap" or "meteoric rise."

Thanks everybody for the further reviews, even if my track ended up in the dustbin in one of them :D :D It deserved it, probably. :D :D
