If BitWig has brought us nothing else, these past year(s) cat pics will suffice. Meeeooow...
perception: the stuff reality is made of.

This thread has nothing to do with hosts, it's all cat pics......mods!!!!!

:hihi:

I keep reading this as "Bitwig's Big Adventure".

As in "I meant to do that!"

It will be nothing short of epic. :)

You'll be 67 and someone will ask.... "Do you remember where you were when Bitwig got released?" :hihi:
I would not want to remember!!!

On the contrary, there aren't many cat pics in this thread. Until the cat count goes up, I can't consider this a serious Bitwig thread.

P.s. what's Bitwig?

Post

I, for one, never heard about this Bitwig thing.... :help:

Bitwig's big advantage is it doesn't exist, therefore is the perfect DAW.

I doubt it.

We're having fun with the cats and the 18 month "coming soon" thing but the people who actually want(ed) it or were looking forward to it as a potential "better Ableton Live" or whatver will return to normal once it releases.

The other stuff is just ribbing because they announced way too early. All will be forgiven once it's actually available. :)

I need to prepare a good cat crowd photo similar to that big crowd around the White House when Bin Laden got put down. I suspect the celebration will be similar, they' just be shouting "BWS!, BWS!", instead of "USA!". :hihi:

I can think of a handful of people that have given up on waiting and gone elsewhere, and I for one have lost interest.

I think Theo has a good point, as it does put people off. Certainly a few have vocalized that, but not sure what it will do to their total potential user base.

Well, you know how that goes.

They'll publish a demo, people will try it, and if it's actually a better tool, few will punish themselves out of principal by not using something that they actually do think is a better tool just because they had to wait a long time for it. :)

The people who will mostly skip it, not buy it even though it's exactly what they needed or wanted, will more likely be people that have already spent their cash on something else.

But a good tool is a good tool and if it works as advertised all will be forgiven once it's available. That's a near certainty.

But obviously, after such a long delay, if it's buggy at all there will be a huge backlash.
