that white skin made saurus usable for me; and i LOVE the dark/blue look of electraX...Ingonator wrote:A matter of taste. I got them all (including Nemesis beta) and IMO they got some of the best GUIs, especially with the new skins provided with soundsets from time to time (e.g. white skins for Rayblaster and Saurus).HcDoom wrote:I find Tone2 softwares GUIs one of the worst on the market. But ElectraX and Saurus sound really really good, so that saves them.

For those expecting an FM synth like FM8 or Toxic Biohazzard, forget it, it's nothing like them in terms of layout/usability.
It's tradional FM but with a lot of newer modern ideals. At least that's how I see it. It is way over my head so I just sit back n watch the others work their sound design magic on it.

Thanks Ronnie! To be honest - I'm incredibly curious on what kind of sounds the other sound designers are makingcore wrote:Good to see you're on board Carl, I hope Tone2 will pick all your sounds for the factory bankDrGonzo wrote:LOL! Making sounds for a synthesizer with practically zero presets (one to be exact!) is really an inspiring adventure.

Same here. Been doing sounds for this since the very beginning and even though I managed to loose all sounds during install of an updated beta, there'll be plenty of diffent sounds to choose from once Tone2 will be making the selection for the factory library.DrGonzo wrote:Thanks Ronnie! From what I've heard of their past synths, I like the sound of their fm. The fm in ElectraX always made some quite cool sounds.
Unfortunately they've really been taking a step backwards with the gui functionality in their recent synths (at least on a mac), where you can't directly select items in option lists, like lfo or oscillator waveforms etc. It's absurd that you have to keep clicking one button to toggle through the list in one direction. If there's 7 waveforms and you want to try the one before the current one, yeah just hit that button 6 times. Hitting a button a bunch of times to select a different option is a brutal workflow killer. In gladiator and ElectraX there list selectors or option boxes worked fine and were automatable too. But since Saurus they've somehow lost the ability to have this work sensibly on a mac.

IMO yes but i am not allowed to explain why as this would need revealing technical details which currently is forbidden by NDA...TheKid wrote:Will FM8-owners need this synth?
All i could say is that Nemesis is easier to use than "traditional" FM synths and that you could get nice results quite fast.
Anyway there are enough features under the hood to allow doing some more complex stuff.

Assuming it will be their new flagship synth, the price will probably be similar to Rayblaster's, i.e. 150 euros or 200 dollars.xamido wrote:I only want to know the price, and hopefully cheaper introduction price. I've been looking to get a fm synth for my collection.
