I'm kind of partial to Gladiator2 and Rayblaster also. Just hoping they'll lose their senses and do a two for one sale soon!

Yes, it is FM synthesis. Anyway compared to "traditional" FM synths the "NeoFM synthesis" is different in a few ways. Not allowed to tell technical details at the moment.
