I tried it. Scarbee Rhodes walks all over this. Scarbee sounds a lot more like a real Rhodes with release samples, and 12 layers of velocity. The new EPs for Reason aren't even close.

Haven't played with it myself yet, but the demo tunes sounded appropriately funky!
I'll check out the "feel" of them this weekend...
At any rate, I'm not going to complain about the price.

Well I have the luxury of having both a real rhodes and real wurly ep-200: and can say that they sound pretty authentic to my ears, plus I didnt have to shell out 200 bucks for a sample set.Pete C wrote:I tried it. It's a great refill
The Scarbee Rhodes is hard to beat, and this refill can't compete with it, but the refill is fantastic for what it is ... and yeah I like some of the demos very much too ... great little wiring tips in there

I'm with you. The Scrabee Rhodes and Wurlies would be great for the NNXT, but alas... no. I wonder if streaming would ever be in the works.

love the refill...and especially the price! It's FREE!!!!!
Was thinking of getting NI's e-piano...but now, there's not need!
Still waiting for my NI 2 complete though...and my keystation pro-88! Oh...waiting can be so painful!

Very nice for a free refill and better than paying $200 for just a single ep or about $500 for the Scarbee collection. The Scarbee collection is good, but I have to ask myself, do I really need to pay that much for the difference in sound quality? Maybe if I was releasing songs that are targeted for major audiences. But that is not my goal.

Yup. The Props really pulled the rug out from under NI with this one. Bravo, I say.

Here's the problem...it's stuck in Reason!! I have no luck with Rewire I tell you. I hate it. I give up because the shit freezes up and lags...it's horrible. I have tried rewire on different PCs with different hosts. I always have some sort of problem with it.
