Looks like Rapture is still on sale, and fits your budget.

I thought the sale was over May 31st, but then noticed it was still at the sale price on Saturday... and is still going today.

Anyway, I bought it on Saturday :)

Nice one :tu:

I bought Dimension, Rapture and Z3ta+ 2 together in a package Cakewalk had a special deal on a couple of years ago. Nice stuff.

Rapture is superb, got it a couple of days ago too and very pleased with the sounds :)

But, i find it very uncomfortable and a bit intimidating to synthesize sounds from scratch in Rapture. Luckily there are tons of presets for it.

Not quite sure if they have been mentioned before (though I tried to read all posts) but Synthbundle from xoxos is pretty damn awesome for this price.

Four Synths for 10$. No FX, just good old concept synths with great oscillators and crazy modulation routing. And every synth has each own purpose and using it's own oscillator concept (BLIT & BLIT, Naive and DSF). Eg. Aurora is an incredible unison monster built for nothing than pure sound. A true CPU killer in HiFi mode. But what a sound. My favourite from this package. And pretty "indepth" manuals about the concept behind them.

Btw I would recommend you buying the whole VST package because Modal, Radian (both Physical Moseling synths) & Adze (Perc Resample thingy) alone are worth it. Plus various other stuff.

I'm thinking of upgrading to x2 from x1 now its on sale for us cake users and I guess I will get the full version of rapture along with their cut down versions of Breverb and th2 so I am looking at that as my august splurge.

Several of my synths and expansions are at or below $40 USD. My synth enchilada may be $95, but you get EVERYTHING for a very low price.

Not that I'm the biggest fan of FM sounds, but the FM Drive with 33000 patches for 10 euros, seems like a cool deal

Not sure about Mangle, but Dagger is great for only $40. Not $20, but oh well.

I would say so, yes. IMO it's the most convenient and therefore most useful granular synth out there. However, before you spend your money, be aware of the fact that the developer is quite unresponsive. Although I haven't encountered technical/compatibility issues so far I don't know if (or when) updates would be provided when they would eventually be needed
