I like Mausynth. But i never thought how versatile mausynth is. Great natural sounding guitars and it even can sing.

Indeed. MauSynth is a VSTi to be reckoned with.tomtoo wrote:I like Mausynth. But i never thought how versatile mausynth is. Great natural sounding guitars and it even can sing.

"You Are The Most Dramatic Q***r In The World" by NickCult was removed... it was just too good a use of MauSynth it would make everyone jealous and sad.

It's still showing up in the player... but it was removed.. there seems to be some kind of lag, or caching going on?

+1, thanks for that article V'ger. I've always been fascinated by the differences that microsecond adjustments make in the feel of a beat. Great idea to try changing it up by section as opposed to just making each bar randomly different.tonedef71 wrote:Indeed.V'ger wrote:Gotta love Black Sabbath..
Great article -- thanks for sharing!V'ger wrote:About humanizing midi etc, according to a study, it's not as much random timed notes as a section that's either early or late that's the human way, try it out: http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2 ... -goes-off/
Hooray for bjporter as an admin! Happy news!

In my composition, I would like to us a bassline (single track ) MIDI file by a commercial 3rd party (z3ta patchworx) is that acceptable ? In case its not ok, Is it the commercial factor or 3rd party factor that could be outside the rules?

Hm not really a specific rule against 3rd party parts, but I still think the "Your entry must be composed specifically for this contest" and "Cover tunes are not permitted." pretty much states you have to do the composing.

Thought I saw a Piano patch in the presets...tonedef71 wrote:Book 'em, Danno!bjporter wrote:Ah yes, thanks.
Latest song on OSC55 had a piano in it by "Man Of Calling"... just threw that under the bus.
Excellent police work, Brian!

I DLed the blue and the black with no problems. Even with what looked to be the exact same settings, I couldn't get them to sound the same. I used 1 blue and the rest black as the black had all of the knobs labeled. It seems there were more changes made than just the skins. No experience with the metro version- I need to know what I'm tweaking...BBFG# wrote:Tried downloading the black skin version and got an immediate virus alert last night. No, there werent. Black is the Default DLL with new images, thats all.Robert West wrote:I used 1 blue and the rest black as the black had all of the knobs labeled. It seems there were more changes made than just the skins.
If anyone has problems with false positives i suggest to submit a copy of the DLL to your AV products company so they can review the file and adapt their heuristics/VDFs accordingly.

Gave Mr. Hamburger the boot... but perhaps he is the ultimate percussion master, and elite Mau user? We'll see. There was no entry in the Submissions.

What strings are they?joyablain wrote:This is because there is a string in the DLLs which has to match the DLLs filename.
