Well I'm on vacation from reviews next month. I used up my post quota so I gotta lay low for a while.

Mystahr wrote:This is cool; great percussion programming and use of samples. Like you said, what vurt is to melody you are to rhythm most certainly.

second skin - great discordan t bass. I do think that the vocal gets in the way of
the tension a little. You sound a little angry, whilst the music sounds mysterious.
Really enjoyed the backing track, but could do with a littlevariation.

sciche - great intro. That drum track really surprised me. The vocal is
a little wasted. Too far back in the mix to really count. Great feel to the music, though. It NEEDS something to pull it out of soundtrack mode, which the vocal COULD have done, I reckon.Voice to the front, lad! Don't be shy!

Spaceman - off my tits on shochu as I type....this is great! I'm a real sucker for mad panning and spread (!) Too fricken short, though.
Just as I was expecting a loop of sorts to drift in, the track er...drifted out...definitely worth an extension.

Verdigast - Yeh, another good floaty one., but with no real direction.
Unlike spaceman's track, I didn't feel like this was going to develop, either. It has good beginnings... build on it!

bonteburg - class into and outro. The drums were a bit pedestrian for me, having no change during the track. Thought that change at around 0:40 was gonna/should have been bigger.

pHz - mad panning gurgling sound scared the crap out of me.Great, clicky beats and really enjoyed the minimalism here.let me guess.. you enjoyed that 'waaaaaayyyy' sample, didn't you?

jumping flash - tell you what, jumpingflash, you had me all the way there...until the
drums came in. Actually a pleasant composition, but
a little too cheesy upon further listens, and that's to do with your
instrumentation. The mute trumpet sound PLEADS emotion, rather than suggesting it, which is more to my liking.
Looking forward to hearing some more of your stuff.

jax - cool use of space. Nice, rumbling bass. Could have done with a kick up the bum at around 1 minute, though, I felt.Any development plans for this one?

vurt - A master at bananas effects....that synth at 0:40 works well. Some searing string would have done wonders,I reckon, to give this one a bit more character.

rsmus - check your levels man! Enjoyed the theme, but nearly unlistenable!

ermmm - did you mean to quote something else, Gordon?

I would recommend that you buy an external hard drive case - very useful. Maybe go for a firewire one, though?
