No. B2, Aether, Breeze all run on a single core currently. It's not quite as simple to use multiple cores as it seems. It works better for something like synth where each note/voice can be a different thread. Something might be possible in the future, but this gets to be a complex subject that deals with code structure and assembly vectorization schemes. It all has to be thought out and balanced very delicately.
Maybe, but on OSX developers (and more more so plug-in developers) don't have a ton of control over thread management. It is generally handled by the OS.Breeze wrote: If there's contentious multi-core management between B2 and a host, would an alternate host like VEP5 help?
