I have begun to make a track for video demo using the samples in NanoStudio.
Here are the first 3 bars looped 3 times, note that they may still change.
Kids in NanoStudio
The drums and the synths are from NanoStudio factory content.

Thanks, the vibe is indeed different than the 2 other MP3 examples.lingyai wrote:

Thanks for your comment! I cannot really make the library bigger because the original recording is not that long, kids have a short attention span. There are samples that I have not included in it because they were long sentences in French that were not really useful IMO in their full length and it was hard to cut them nicely.gassle wrote:Nice! You could make the library bigger and adjust the price to match.
On the other hand, you can get more mileage out of the library by simply transposing the samples by a few semitones by changing the root note in your sampler and they will still sound pretty natural, some samples lend themselves very well to that. For instance, you can have the same sample mapped to 5 keys with a single root note or with 5 different root notes. And transposing by larger intervals may be interesting too.
Other useful techniques are time stretching and pitch shifting, either used together or by themselves. Depending on the software you have, other ways of mangling the samples are possible, for instance using the various audio engines in Kontakt and Battery.
Also those who like vocal one-shot samples can look at the Julie Vocal collections, the 3 volumes together have over 1200 samples.

Hi sorry to bother, but after purchasing, the link for Kids Kit leads to a 404 page not found error message (the bonus material link works fine though)...

No problem, I update the links from time to time. Assuming that you are the one who emailed me today, I just sent you the new link.lingyai wrote:Hi sorry to bother, but after purchasing, the link for Kids Kit leads to a 404 page not found error message (the bonus material link works fine though)...

Sure I will mess with them in every way with granular synthesis, distortion, pitch shifting, formant shifting, harmonizing, creative looping, convolution etc. it's just there is never enough samples.zvon wrote:On the other hand, you can get more mileage out of the library by simply transposing the samples by a few semitones by changing the root note in your sampler and they will still sound pretty natural, some samples lend themselves very well to that.
