is anyone using this with NI Maschine?
on Mac upgraded from SL to Lion, When I reopen projects, Spire isn't recalling the preset parameters properly.
At least of the factory bank 2 preset, LD Initial DP
is this happening to anyone else?
thanks

Hello,
Firstly this sounds fantastic. Just the quality of the texture is amazing and reminds me of the VA hardware of the 90s.
There's currently an issue with notes sticking on after playback is stopped in sonar 8.5. Not sure if this is known but just fyi.
Again thanks and great job!

Heheh.. It's interesting to note that you've ended up doing a bunch of these distorted sounds too. These kinds of sounds are the first things I made with Spire!V0RT3X wrote:
It really seems to lend itself very well to these beefy distorted and punchy sounds. The multiband/split compressor is in large part to thank for this. Turn it off and it all goes quite wimpy.
Would love to have that compressor as a stand alone plugin for other stuff as well! I'm pretty sure Reveal Sound could sell that one knob wonder for a few bucks. I mean, look at how successful sausage fattener is.
Cheers!

More updates!
Good news indeed - Spire is just getting better and better. Careful now... it might even knock the mighty Zebra off my top spot.

try clicking refresh while holding Alt
PS. this will search all of your plugins, so make sure your iLok dongles (etc) are connected (if you have them).

Did all that already. Spire won't show up ... tried older versions a few days and they did not show up either (don't have any other problems with other plugins) does spire actually work with live 9 64 bit ? i'm using live 9.05 64 bit and spire 0.9.17 (downloaded today) ... earlier versions didn't show up, too

All I can personally contribute is that it's working perfect on Windows 8 x64 with Cubase 6.5.5 and Ableton Live Lite 8.4.1 as a VST x64 plugin.
I'm afraid I don't own Live 9 confirm your report mate

if you don't have any other hosts to check it in, try VSThost, see if it works?...

I really like sounds like this, so when I saw this viedo show up on my FB news from the spire page I thought id share it here. After briefly playing around with spire for a bit I ended up realizing it definitely has the possibilities to cover a wide range of gritty sounds due to the architecture. Your right! The multiband compressor in spire definitely has a good sound to it! I am thinking about maybe buying spire next and doing a soundbank for it as well that would cover Industrial and EBM sounds.
Best Regards,

I'm using Windows 8 here and it's working for me, older versions and the new version. One time I had this problem of plug-ins not showing up in Ableton Live (albeit I was using 32-bit then) and Ableton support had me delete the preferences.cfg and template.als and that fixed my issue. Obviously, if you do that make note of your preferences and template so you can rebuild them. I suspect it's more the preferences.cfg that causes the issue but I don't know for certain.mbb wrote:yes using Windows 8 ... nothing blacklisted ... spire 64 bit (windows) seems to be buggy
The files are located at C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\[Live version]\Preferences
In order to see the AppData folder you may have to enable "View hidden folders" if it is not already.
Edit: Also to clarify I am indeed using the 64-bit version now. The other thing is support mentioned to delete "vstinfoscan.cfg" and "undo.cfg" but those files didn't exist in my case.
